I am showing one of my rabbits in my 4H county fair. My other rabbit is staying home with me. Is it ok that I am separating them or will it ruin their bond and make them depressed? The fair lasts 4 days.

You need to keep them together if bonded
Even a short vet visit with them separated can break a bond.

Can you take the other and have it there without showing that one? Have them in same cage until you need to take the showing one out to show then quickly get them back together?

It’s quite cruel imo to split them up for 4 days. They’ll wonder where their friend went. Can’t you take both?

I do think OBM’s idea sounds good. Theyd at least be able to spend a part of the days and the nights together. I think that would be a million times less stressful for both of them, and greatly help preserve their bond.
