June 2008…I started lurking this site November 20, 2008, I got my bunny

And it’s still the 30th…Almost the 31st here.

I’ve been here a while-I believe Sept/Oct 2007 (and I’m not going anywhere!! LOL)

Memories-all the new arrivals-new members (we be 3000 strong!!) and all the new bunnehs!! Sooo cute!!

Squrrlybuns adopting three feral born bunnies into her home; And LC catching Robbie and bringing him into her home-five stars for bringing those buns back into the house!

All the new bonds-new bunny-bonds, whether bonding our existing buns or getting new ones and making bunny couples!
Dono and Maryann finally bonding, and Max and Meadow-most notably considering the length of time to do it and all the drama!

Bunny stars->> Members buns being featured in rescue calanders and on LOL Bunnies and on Disapproving rabbits

A stronger rabbit community-> Sweeping the contest to get Ospreys’ bunnies winning a photo contest and get money donated to his fav rescue! Getting bad movies featuring rabbit abuse removed from Youtube and making our voices HEARD! WOOT!

Petco and Petsmart stopped selling rabbits!!

It’s been a wonderful year!!! Lets keep it up All the best wishes for you all and your bunny families in the new year!!

oh, the circle of life…

i want to give special kudos to the members who are/were dealing with sick buns.  some have been able to nurse them back to health and they will be able to spend many more New Years with their furry friends, some have lost the battle… but the fighting is what counts.

my heart breaks for each and every one of their mamas and papas and their bunny mates that were left grieving.

bunnies were brought into the world this year, many of them were not under ideal circumstances.  we will share our lives with 2008 bunnies, maybe not this year, or next… but someday we will adopt a bunny and we might never know that that one was born in 2008.  we’ll just have to wait to meet those special ones.

i’ve enjoyed getting to know new members, some who stay permanently, some who get what they need from the site and move on.  i hope they and their buns are better for the time spent here.

so many buns were adopted and are being given their second (third or fourth) chance at life.  among those are my very special boy, Max.  he completes our family…

some of us have gotten buns from petstores.  my hope for them is that they only know ONE home for their entire lives, and they never will experience any suffering, neglect, or bad feelings.

i want to personally thank everyone who is helping buns that don’t have a home for the holidays.  whether it’s one foster bunny or an entire rescue, you’re making a difference.

I want to thank you all for welcoming a very sad bunny Mom at the beginning of 2008.
It was ironic that I found BB after losing Spockie in Dec. 2007, but it helped so much to share my stories and experience of 8 years with a very special little guy. I felt that my knowledge, and my mistakes, were able to help a few new moms with some understanding and support.

What I got in return in support and education has been amazing.

Thank you for celebrating my new “baby” with me.

It has been great to learn how many people devote their lives to the care of animals who need our help. We coexist with so many special creatures on this planet – I thank them for being patient with us humans.

And thanks for all the laughs and fun!

P.S. Special thanks to all the Forum Leaders, new and old. Your wisdom has made such a difference to countless lives around the world. Mwah!

I don’t remember the exact month I found BB.  I do know it was in 2008.  I got to share their antics get help with questions. And share with you all lots of  fun and lots of bunny pics.  It has been fun.

I am so glad I found this site. I learned why not to give food with THINGS in it. Why timothy is so important.  To get the buns off wire bottom cages. To spay the Ruby girl.   I couldnt’ have not done it.  I would have worried myself to death of her getting cancer.

I remember Henri  the angora’s of angoragirl.  I enjoyed lots of laughs with rabbit pam bunnyliz  K&K and many many others here. I am not good at names sorry.  But I do remember the laughs  the sad times  the worry etc.   The buns who gave up the fight. It was just their time.  The BB store with their neat hay in bales.  The papaya tablets my buns can now not go without or they will be giving me bunny butt and stink eye for days.

2008 – they year I became a bunnaholic!

I remember the SCANDALOUS tabloid article about Princess Lizzy being found passed out in her own bathroom – Can these young Diva Bunny’s handle the fame?

This year was great!! I joined December 2007, so I’ve been here a whole year. I’ve been lurking more though cause I’ve been busy with my adrenal ferret, Chewie, who by the way is doing better. No I did not succeed in getting a rabbit this year, but hopefully soon. I may have to wait until college or after, but eventually I’ll get my bunny!! This year has had it’s up and downs. Jackie, my friends rabbit, that I loved so much died at the age of 9 months old. This year though I learned more about rabbits and got to know many of you!! I hope to get to know those of you that I don’t know as well in 2009!

I had a great year on Binky Bunny! Been through lots of ups and downs with the members here. It’s amazing how you really come to know the member’s bunnies through stories and pictures.

I feel I am lucky to have found such a great bunch I can relate to.

I would like to make a toast! Please raise your glass of carrot juice and join me!

Here’s to the bunnies we love, the bunnies we’ve lost and the friend’s we’ve made through Binky Bunny. May 2009 bring us lots of fun and happiness with our furry friends and each other.

I came to BB in November 2007 needing help for Ebony and her six new born baby bunnies one of these bunnies I didn’t think would make it. November 2008 they were one year old and all six of them are healthy and enjoying their lives.

I lurk a lot also as I am so busy with work and animals. I thank BB for the help and friendliness of all who have given me support.
