Hi all,
I’m having a problem with my 2 year old neutered Netherland Dwarf house bunny Pepsi.
Litter training her has been a breeze- no accidents since the first few months! However, we have a very shaggy rug which she won’t stop pooing and peeing on! This has been going on every since we got it about a year ago and it’s driving me mad! We’ve been just folding it over when she’s out and about but it looks so ugly that way that I’m hoping for another solution.
I’ve tried putting a litter tray right in the corner of the rug, and picking her up and putting her in it (or the one in her cage) when she pooping on the rug but it’s not helped a bit. She just loves the texture, I think it feels like grass!
I feel bad because it’s making me not let her out as much, especially when we have guests. I feel like it’s not fair on her and maybe we should get rid of the rug…but as my boyfriend points out, it cost a lot more than she did!
Any advice would be grately appreciated
Ami
