Hi all
Im not sure if you remember the lady I was talking about a few weeks back who had a male and a female rabbit that had 3 consecutive litters of babies? she had 10 babies when I met her, I hadnt seen her for a few weeks, and she came in yesterday to the shop and told me she only has 4 left
3 that are 6 weeks old and one that is 2 weeks old. AND she wants to keep the tiny one because its soi cute. Shes called it “lucky” because it survived. This made me bite my tongue on so many levels. Shes feeding them corn, lettuce and hay. I gave her a sheet of the proper dietary requirements and she said she will fix that.
Anyway, 2 of the babies have one front foot that the hair has started falling out on. the skin underneath is clean and healthy looking, just a bit flaky. One of them also has a 4cm patch on its back that is bald, but the skin is smooth underneath.
I went to her house last night and had a look. It confuses me because its the same front foot on both the babies that is bald, cant see any parasites, the cage is clean… Then again, it was VERY clean so maybe she cleaned it because she knew I was coming..
Any ideas on what this could be?
