My bunny is being a little nippy as well. She only does it to get my attention though. What you can do is he probably does not realize it hurts so do a high pitch squeal every time he nips you. He will most likely stop and look at you, then repeat the biting. Squeal several times till he begins to stop biting. I give my bunny wooden chews but she likes braids of hay for chewing mostly. Hope this helps!

Could he still have some discomfort from the dental work?

Also, could it be in reaction to the recent vet visit. He’s using biting as a defense?

Or reacting to a smell on you, another pet or a friends that you have been around?

How is his vision? My boy is blind now and relies a lot of his sense of smell.

It is possible for a neutered rabbit to become hormonal again. My lop (11yrs old) started to show hormonal behaviours at around age 6. He was neutered by previous owners when he was 9 months old. He’s toned it down now as he isn’t as active.
Ive read other similar stories by other owners.
You could give your rabbit a stuffed toy and see if he mounts it.

thank you for your reply he was doing this before the dental work, i thought that was the problem but he is still doing it. i thought once they were neutered they did not have that urge anymore. maybe its the new body lotion i am using i am going to let him smell that see if that is what is doing it. could be.

i think he wants to mate he did that before he was neutered males become aggressive, i thought maybe something was wrong with him healthwise, but i guess it can be normal. i am thinking maybe its the lotion i am wearing,
