    I confirm the STRICT Aussie border controls even within Australia crossing over into another state.
    I travelled there camping for a while on a budget so carried all our food with us, and we would sit at the border eating all our food which couldn’t go across the state border. Others just threw it in the provided bins…. such a waste !!
    We also had to open our tent and show our walking boot soles when coming into Australia, to check no germs were brought in, in the dried mud.

    Oh no, indeedie, they do not joke around with their customs rules. and I’m VERY glad that J&A didn’t get special treatment !
