Unfortunately, she does not take the medicine. I’ve tried everything. Hidden in banana, on dill, on her fav. pellet on floor, on table. She refuses to take it on her own and she panics when the techniques for administering meds are done like in videos on YT such as keeping their body between the legs or in the arm (while their feet/body is securely placed on the floor or table) and holding the head. Her eyes bulge out, she sorts of panics and she’s gasping for air. I even put pet remedy on a tissue before hoping she’d be calm. I also had some person that was involved with animal rescue come here yesterday as she said she’s got lots of experience administering meds to rabbits but the same happens with her. She said she’s never experienced this. So, she didn’t try again as would have been too much of a risk. She ate a bit this morning, but I guess a result will be GI stasis soon. It’s breathing or eating. The vet will call me later and I believe the recommendation will be euthanasia. If she would at least take the medicine so we could try if this could help her. As said, this sets of panic and makes things worse. I watched the bonding video from 2 years ago when I got her and I could see her sides moving as well at the time. How could this be missed, I had no idea, but the question is if it would have made a difference since she refuses medicine. It’s absolutely heartbreaking! She took such a good care of her partner and was always a happy girl until about 2 weeks ago.
