Poor muffin, hopefully you get some conclusive results soon!
Funny that you mention about the not drinking on his own, my bunny Bella recent went under anesthetic and stopped drinking water on her own for about 4 days. I guessed this was related to the anesthetic. I had to syringe her water and make her watery cucumber and banana smoothy to…[Read more]

If she squeezed his bladder, then yes, it could be irritated now.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Poops are hard/dry but no changes in diet??? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 7 months ago
Small poops can happen for a variety of reasons. It’s OK to mention to the vet, but I wouldn’t worry too much. Bunny owners are known for obsessing over poop. After awhile, you will learn what is normal for your bunny, what is not, what will likely pass and what needs attention.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Bad GI Stasis?? Or another surgery needed?? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 7 months ago
A long stretch of stasis is not unheard of. It can certainly happen. So I wouldn’t jump to conclusions just yet. That being said, adhesions after a spay surgery are not unheard of either… although very uncommon. How did the vet determine this? Did they do an ultrasound?

Smooth? flat? Or bumpy? Raised? Bunnies can have moles or they can have papillomas. If you’re not sure what it is, you can have a vet take a look.

And maybe a marble/quart slat. I used some this last summer and they really seemed to like them.
They were marketed for Chinchillas, that might help you get more info.

If you can get Standlee hay, the price is awesome and the quality outstanding!
Sorry, no experience with SPS.

Luna was being treated for what was thought to be GI Stasis. Possible megacolon…After over a week of exhausted all med, pain,iv fluid injections, x-rays & bloodwork the Vet suspects it’s from adhesions acquired from her spay surgery she went through a month ago..
Thus, suggesting surgery that’s looking like a 5,000 price range. Or eutha…[Read more]

Good news today at Luna’s recheck. Her blood PCV is at 32%, which is an amazing recovery. She’s just shy of the ideal range but will be there soon 🙂
We have to wait a few days for her kidney and liver values to come back. The vet was impressed by how her cataract had almost returned to normal.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic not pooping after vet visit in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 7 months ago
How is she doing now?
If she has not pooped or eaten in 12 hours, please contact a rabbit-savvy vet and have her seen as soon as possible — regardless of the cause, going that long without GI movement is very dangerous and is a health emergency for a rabbit.
Vet visits and car rides can be stressful for rabbits. That being said, we do expect…[Read more]

Well I just got home from work and there were some poops in his litter box, but they were still tiny and didn’t look quite right to me. He is still running around, eating hay and pellets, drinking, peeing, etc. His appointment with the vet is tomorrow at 11 am so I will mention it to her, I just truly have no idea what could have caused the s…[Read more]

My experience with SPS (notably I did change from their timothy to their orchard last year, so unsure presently what’s going on with timothy) has been consistently good. That being said, hay is a plant that’s grown, so across the board, variation is expected, regardless of brand. I have always had a superb experience with their customer service…[Read more]

Thank you so much, that made me feel so much better! I gave him a smaller amount of pellets this morning to encourage him to eat more hay. I’m at work right now, but my dad just checked on him and said that he is bouncing around and ate a small treat and there are some poops in his litter box already.
