Thank you guys for your support! It has been a hard few weeks since he passed, Moony has been doing surprisingly well but I’m still having a hard time. It’s been getting better in the sense that I haven’t been replaying exact moments of his passing in my head as often, but I just miss him so soooo much. He was such a sweet little loving guy. I’ve…[Read more]

Iis this horse bedding safe to use for rabbit litter? Just bought it at bomgaars yesterday and I’m not sure if it’s safe to use. It says that it’s natural softwood pellet bedding. But doesn’t list the ingredients.

it did help! about 30 minutes after the 2nd dose she started eating some lettuce and hay and seems much more alert and active.
she’s actually molting now, i didnt even think of that but it definitely could be the cause of this since this one was very heavy. i was doing the belly massages but after a while she started grinding her teeth when i…[Read more]

No no she does eat normally hay, pellets and drinks water 🙂 my only concern was that she goes whole day without pooping but then produces normal pellets of poops from evening to morning

Did the simethicone help? I found it usually starts to help with in an hour, especially if you catch it early. Sometimes it took a couple doses though. The stomach massage also really helps in combo. When my bun Dorian molts he’s prone to issues and that combo has really helped. Hand feeding what ever she will eat will help too. I never got to the…[Read more]

My girl bun was the same after her spay last November. She jumped a 1 meter fence only hours after she came home. I had made the nicest post-spay enclosure for her, but she’d have none of that. For some buns its worse if you try to keep them in a restricted area, they can get frustrated and try to gnaw through cafe bars or stsrt busying…[Read more]

Thank you! I was so afraid to take the step of spaying her but I’m so glad I did!
She is a free roam bunny so I don’t have a cage for her but I tried limiting her jumping by replacing her litter box with one with very low edges, removed any high surfaces, still she’s active and wants to play, jump and worst binky!! I don’t know how to manage…[Read more]

Oh, wonderful!
She shouldnt be allowed to binky just yet though, it takes 2 weeks to fully heal from a spay. But the fact that she wants to binky is great!

If she’s eating and pooping normally, I’d say its normal, but it’s very good that you’re keeping a close eye.
An early sign of stasis is decreased appetite. This can be difficult to notice, because we always feed our buns a lot more hay than they’ll eat. It should be visible in the poop though, if a bun eats too little, the poop will get smaller…[Read more]

Hi guys, I really need some help. My rabbit has a litter box with newspaper on the bottom, then a fine layer of carefree bedding, then hay. She has been fine with this and using her litter box this way for months now, but randomly she is covering her hay with the bedding and making a mess in her cage, she is now in her hide sleeping, she is about…[Read more]

Oh really? So it’s normal for her to not poop for like 9 hours in day?
She does poop normally at night how i said. I was worried she is getting i. GI stasis or something but she is eating and drinking normally.

Thank you so much Bam for your reply!
it was late when I posted this the vet was already closed and I was too scared to wait for the next day so I figured I ask here.
Thankfully around half an hour from posting this her poop improved! Not quite normal but definitely better.
In the morning I immediately contacted the vet and they reassured me…[Read more] - Load More
