The vet checked her teeth while we were there, and they were fine. She has been eating normally.
She was randomly urinating throughout the cage. We’ve finished the metacam, and she only had 2 incidents of not urinating in the litter box.
We switched over to gabapentin to use long term for her hocks.

*Luckily it’s mainly in their room, but still… so many poops. Also sorry for the redundancy in using the word poops.
Dorian has always been pretty good about getting his in the litter box, with a few exceptions like when he was younger he would have some sleepy time poops and had issues with territorial poops. He still occasionally will have…[Read more]

It is actually uncommon for a rabbit to be willing/OK with an owner grooming them. Usually some restraint, resistance, etc. is normal and is something owners and rabbits need to tolerate as a part of the grooming process. There is great guidance and videos on grooming here: https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Grooming
My approach is to choose whatever…[Read more]

Lint rollers work for rex fur, if the rabbit agrees to the treatment. My little rex didn’t approve of the lint roller, so I pick and pick tufts of fur. The brushes I have don’t catch her fur, it’s so short and so super soft.

Please have your rabbit assessed by a rabbit-savvy vet — eye injuries as well as potential additional injuries resulting from this experience should be properly examined by a veterinary professional to ensure your rabbit is OK/gets effective treatment, if applicable.
For the future, please know you do not need to take a rabbit on walks and if…[Read more]

I’m so sorry to hear about what you and your rabbit are going through. Unfortunately, not many owners have experience with heart disease, so working closely and comfortably with your rabbit’s vet (who is rabbit-savvy; not unexperienced staff) is likely key in maximizing Buffy’s life. While short, there are some references linked here that might…[Read more]

His fur is so silky and soft. If you ever have chance to feel one of these bunnies then do not turn it down. He is shedding at the moment and the fur is so fine and light, its a bit of a struggle to contain it once its free from him. Any thoughts on lint rollers? Normal brush just wont pick it up or take it out so i find myself plucking gentle for hours.

Update for anyone curious:
After 5 vet visits and a TON of different tests: No mites, no fungus (ringworm), no heartworm, no blood abnormalities, no signs of stress. The vet was stumped and told me to stop all treatment except for a once-a-day treatment of Benadryl based on her weight (4.4lbs – 1.6mL of Benadryl) for a week.
Happily- All signs…[Read more]

It’s in both directions, but I think it’s a thing of him trying to groom. He’s molting rn, and those areas by his hind legs are both shedding a lot atm, and I’m thinking he was trying to groom those areas. I brushed him for a while last night after I realized, and although he’s still doing it, it’s to a much lesser extent and he doesn’t seem…[Read more]

Is he turning in circles always in the same direction? Or in either direction? Circling can be a symptom of an inner ear infection or E. Cuniculi, usually the bun will always turn the same direction in these circumstances.
Certainly check to see if he has anything irritating him back there that he may be trying to reach, but if there’s nothing a…[Read more]
