Looking at the layout, I think your idea is a good one. Use puppy playpen fence of baby gates to gate off the section behind the couch (though I’d bring the couch forward a little if there’s room to bring in the gate in line with that wall). Then if you like you can have supervised free roam time of the rest of the living area and kitchen.

Thanks so much for the response. I gree with you, I think I should move first and see the situation. In the meantime, I will start volunteering in a local rescue, just to spoil the bunnies 😀

It appears the best bet is to decide what space you’re willing to devote entirely to your rabbit’s permanent enclosure, and then you can rabbit proof/put gates up against any sections you do not want your rabbit wandering around when you allow for free-roam time. I aked about poop because sometimes a hormonsl (yet castrated) bun will mske a “poop-barrier” along the perimeter of his/her territory. Marking poops are often extra big, shiny and reeking of what’s often described as “fried onion” 🤣

Yes they are. They have put her on IV yesterday with pain meds inside. They gave her cisapride and simethicone by mouth, and syringe fed her critical care a few times yesterday as she is not interested in hay or the critical care on a plate. I don’t know if they have given her pepcid or vit b.

Very green hay often means its been harvested early in the sesson and brought in very soon after cutting, then been fan-dried in barns. This has both advantages and disadvantages. I change Glenns once a day in the evening, rise it out a couple times and then refill, I will give it a ‘deep clean’ once a week. When I have 2 buns I have 2 bowls of water, rinse and fill once a day and deep clean twice a week because the double traffic makes them a bit more grimy

It could be spring fever. Rabbits really become markedly more active in the spring. Do you see any marking poop or peeing away from the box?
