I have no idea if this idea would work for a bunny, but I saw the coolest article in a magazine this week where someone used an open cabinet (door removed, low, like in a kitchen) for a small dog to sleep in. It could enclose a litter pan or have a tunnel fitted in with a seagrass matte for a floor for sleeping and napping. You’d lose a bit of…[Read more]

RabbitPam replied to the topic mental health rapidly declining after getting a bunny, what should I do? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 4 months ago
You’ve gotten some great advice already. I’d like to add that sometimes a much more limited habitat space to begin with, with gradual expansion, is helpful in training before free range. I know you have some bars for him – didn’t quite get whether it’s an enclosed cage for a short time or not, but a puppy exercise pen with an open top or a sheet…[Read more]

My husband was just suggesting that it would be cute to name a group of buns after apple varieties: Gala, Fuji, Macintosh, Cortland, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady… 😆

Though associated with the state (so I don’t know if that makes it more or less appealing, haha), I love the name “Montana”, which could be shortened to Monty!

Hey guys! I’m new here and don’t really know how to ask a question so I’m gonna do it here I think. My rabbit is 10 years old, he used to have no problem when I groomed him but as he got older he progressively hates it. I will pull the fluffs with my fingers (only the ones sticking out) because thats all he will let me do, and he always snort…[Read more]

I was checking on Miu’s parents to see if they got adopted, but sadly not and there are more rabbits than I have ever seen. I know they were asking for extra foster families for dogs too. I wonder as people are having to go back into work that’s causing them to dump the pets they got during quarantine? I get sometimes for every one involved it…[Read more]

They have been extra snuggly. Especially Miu. She’s usually pretty haphazard about returning groomings, but I spotted her a couple times today being a lot more thorough. Dorian definitely doesn’t like going to the vets, but she was just terrified, hense the handful. I think she really appreciated having him to snuggle up against and he didn’t mind…[Read more]

I agree with Wick&Fable, definitely something to visit the vet about. It could be an abscess that’s pressing on the eye from the inside.

Yes, please take him to a rabbit-savvy (i.e., rabbit-experienced exotic) vet for assessment. As prey animals, rabbits are ‘programmed’ to hide their discomfort and pain, so while it’s great for his prognosis that he is acting ‘fine’, how a rabbit acts is not a reliable indicator of how they are actually doing health-wise.
