Oh Thankyou so much! You’re so so right, literally like trying to jump a train!
but today…we have poops! I’ve never been so happy to see this much poop 😂she’s starting to broaden what she eats too and seems (touch allll the wood) back to normal, it’s just this water thing, but still inhaling a lot of veg, no cc as she really hated it 🙁 but wi…[Read more]

Cazza108 started the topic Advice needed – growling/lunging!! in the forum BONDING 4 years, 3 months ago
Hi,
I have a 2 year old neutered female bun called Cooper. Her partner passed away last week and so I am currently fostering a 3 year old neutered male.
They have been side by side for about a week and I have started some face to face bonding in the bathroom.
It does seem to be making some progress. Initially Cooper growled and lunged at him…[Read more]

Welcome back to BinkyBunny, and thank you for sharing pictures — I do not know if I can match your level of love for them, but my heart is definitely full in seeing them!! 🙂 Unsure if you named them, but I absolutely love their names.
I’m very sorry to hear about Mopsy (binky free), and I’m glad our forum was able to help you during such a…[Read more]

Rabbit201 started the topic Hello in the forum WELCOME ! 4 years, 3 months ago
Just wanted to introduce my buns and share some photos of them. I currently have 2 buns. Pugsley(girl) is the Dutch and Roo(boy) is the lop. Roo turned 3 last month and Pugsley will be 4 later this year. I love my bunnies and, since I had my first bunny Mopsy, I can’t seem to be without a rabbit. I had an account on this forum a few years ago, but…[Read more]

Thanks both! I was thinking it was a weeping williow too but just wanted to see if others thought the same 🙂
A tree IDing app also thinks willow, so with that I have given them each little, which they both ate in seconds lol!

DanaNM replied to the topic 2 huge rabbit sized litter box in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 4 years, 3 months ago
The best thing I’ve seen for HUGE litter boxes are the concrete mixing tubs they sell at the hardware store. There is a range of sizes (I see one that’s 24″ x 36″ x 8″), so I’m sure you could find one that would work (or perhaps two that you could wedge in there without a gap between them, so they don’t pee in the middle!).

Glad to hear his kidneys are good!
I also have a 13 yr old senior that can get super hormonal (honking, spraying, trying to mount his bonded mate), etc. After doing a full work up on his bladder to rule out those issues, I did some experimenting with his diet and found that when he eats a lot of calcium or gets dehydrated he turns into a honking…[Read more]

Thanks for the reply.
I have 2 buns and there is an eating/dominance issue going on. My other bun, Roo(male) is 3 years old, Pugsley(female) will turn 4 this year. They currently get 2tbsp of pellets in the morning. Used to be 2tbsp each, but they felt like they were getting fat and I decreased it. Pugsley is typically dominant, but Roo has been…[Read more]

All I have to add is just keep at it! Keep getting that recovery food into her, even if it’s a little at a time. Stasis recovery can be like “trying to jump start a train”, so patience with the supportive care is key!
A tip I got from another member for syringing fluids and CC is to use the 1 mL syringes. It sounds crazy, but the buns really seem…[Read more]

The first picture is adorable, that is a pic of a very comfy and relaxed bunny. 🙂
The second pic is hard to say, but she looks fairly relaxed in that on as well. Some buns just like to sit like this. She doesn’t appear to be squinting, which is another pain symptom that often goes along with the belly pressing.
How long have you had her? And…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic bunny sore hocks won't heal in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 3 months ago
Carpet can contribute to sore hocks, so if they spend a lot of time on the carpeted area, that could be contributing. Adding a few layers of fleece blankets on top of the carpet should help.
You also may be on to something with their nails, they could just need them trimmed more frequently for a bit.

DanaNM replied to the topic rough start?! in the forum BONDING 4 years, 3 months ago
Sounds like progress to me! Eating together is great. You should start seeing more and more relaxed behavior over time! Sometimes it seems like a switch is flipped and they just accept the situation and stop freaking out. 🙂

hello! thank you so much for your response! they seem to be a healthy weight, even for netherland dwarfs. i understand the one listed on google is 2.5lbs, but both of my buns were 2ish lbs when i got them as babies. the vet always says they are healthy! they get plenty of exercise, although their nails may be a small issue. i am unable to trim…[Read more]
