It’s definitely normal to be worried and think about the worse case scenario, and it’s good that you’re trying to figure out what is an appropriate level of concern with these issues. Too much, and you can really stress yourself and your rabbit out, and too little can be dangerous for your rabbit.
Sneezing once a day is not something I would be…[Read more]

This is normal… but don’t get used to it. 😉
Baby bunnies are often very “chill” and tolerant at that age. People will be like “Aww, my bunny is so sweet! He likes to be held and cuddled!” Boy are they in for a shock when hormones start kicking in, which is sooner than a lot of people think. It isn’t unusual for it to happen overnight, as if a…[Read more]

Speaking for myself, I started off with one bunny. I was a student and was thinking of the cost. Plus, if I’m honest, I’d grown up in a house with one dog and I had that one-pet orientation. Like, I kind of didn’t want my bunny to bond with another bunny more than with me.
But after 3 months with my bunny, Athena, I came to love her so much th…[Read more]

Hi,
We just got a baby bunny for my 12 year old daughter. She’s an old soul and when she told me she wanted a rabbit, I told her she better start her research. She did, for months – she figured out the best breed for her, asked for a male and to neuter him, knew what size the enclosure should be and how to bunny proof her room for him to fr…[Read more]

My male bun, Alfie was neutered a year ago and I noticed this today next to his genitals. On the other side there was a black blob looked like poo stuck in the crack next to his genitals. It looks infected to me but I’m not sure. Anyone know what I should do?

Hi everyone, I have a 1 year old bun names louie. He has recently started sneezing, but not super frequently, maybe like once a day for the last three days. I’m definitely a worrier so I immediately looked up why a bunny would sneeze and thinking about my sweet boy having snuffles freaks me out.
He has a history with teeth problems, he has had…[Read more]

This is a really normal worry for the large majority of rabbit owners! I think considering who else may accompany you is a great option.
Does your rabbit squirm a lot, and this adds to the anxiety? One thing could be de-sensitizing your rabbit to touching her paws (don’t try to clip them, just touch them and look at the nails, like you would to…[Read more]

An update!
I heard back from our Vet and she went ahead and put in a prescription for Revolution (selamectin) that I’m going to pick up tomorrow morning. The plan is to keep applying the miconazole cream once/daily for the rest of the 14 day period but also start him on the oral Revolution as well. 🙂

It’s okay! And yes, I have been slowly introducing my cats to her to not be overwhelming. She doesn’t show any signs of stress or fear, and she seems normal around them. That’s why I’m a little scared that if she escapes, she’s going to run right up to the cats. (which I’ve seen her do before, while I was supervising.) And I’ll probably just…[Read more]

How long has it been since he arrive home?
If he’s eating well, then the poops should come. One of my buns doesn’t tend to poop that much during the day, and they sometimes get smaller in the middle of the day. Then at night he’s a poop machine. You can try offering some very wet leafy veg (like cilantro) to make sure he’s hydrated and try to get…[Read more]
