It might be stressful to separate them, but I would think the false pregnancies would be more stressful (for her at least). You can try setting them up side-by-side to see how they do. The separation might not be so bad if they can see and smell each other.

I agree with Dana. Glad you decided to wait, I think it’s the right call π
I’m sorry you had a negative experience with the rescue being difficult and a lack of bunnies to adopt. Don’t worry though, in a few months it will be that time of the year where many the Easter baby bunnies people bought for their kids will get dumped for daring to…[Read more]

You talked about getting each of them their own hutch at some point, I just wanted to mention that once they’re bonded, they should be housed together at all times. π
Don’t feel bad about the boy not wanting to be picked up/cuddled. Since he’s hitting puberty his mood will be all over the place. However, don’t expect him to revert back to his…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Fleas and Tick Preventative? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 5 months ago
Yes, Revolution and Advantage are safe to give regularly. You’ll have to keep an eye on it since rabbit do tend to metabolize it faster than a dog would.
Not saying you would do this, but I wanted to add this for anyone who might be reading this thread. Never, ever use fipronil (e.g. Frontline, Easyspot, etc.) on a rabbit. It is highly toxic…[Read more]

If he is molting, then it could just be dry skin. Some bunnies will develop dry flaky skin, particularly in areas where the fur is thin when they are molting. If it were me, I would just keep an eye on it. If it doesn’t improve after the fur has shed, then you can always have a vet take a look at that time to make sure it isn’t mites or something.

OOooh, the idea of attaching a piece of lumber with zip ties might be the ticket! That’s a really good idea, thanks! Something he can sink his teeth into but that won’t prevent us from getting the box out to clean it. π
He will dig on whatever flooring is on that level unfortunately. When I was bonding him he was in temp housing that had a…[Read more]

Hi,
I’m a new bunny owner and my bunny is just over 3 months old. I noticed some small white dots on his back today and took a closer look and found some really flaky skin on the nape of his back. I have googled it and most seem to be coming up with mites and wondered if anyone had any other thoughts?
I’ll be calling the vets tomorrow to take…[Read more]

Hi everyone! I am new to the forum! I have had my Hopper for 2 years now and I love to bring him outside for play time and to take photos for his little instagram page. We live in the country near a wooded area and have fleas and ticks in the summer (yuck!). I would spray the yard for them but then it would be slightly dangerous for him to munch…[Read more]

How big is it? Is it a dog exercise pen? What shape is it or what shape do you like to keep it in if itβs rearrangeable?

Thats so annoying! I totally get the noise thing, my bunny has a metal cat bowl stand and always decides to start rattling it a 6:30 in the morning every day. Iβm not sure what your condo looks like but you could try putting a large piece of cardboard over the whole bottom level so he canβt push it out of the way. My bunny is currently in a lar…[Read more]

You have been given really good information and guidance so far. Just to highlight from my experience, I agree that trimming the front teeth only may not be adequate in addressing the issue. My rabbit, Wick, was mentioned earlier. His first vet and I spoke a lot about what are the signs that he needs the trimmings, to ensure we were not doing them…[Read more]
