Sorry you are going through this. He is beautiful bunny <3
My main thought is that his first bout of stasis wasn’t too far back, and recovering from stasis can sometimes occur in fits and starts, with relapses sometimes.
I would give critical care now. Sometimes giving it at the first sign of slowdown and nip it in the bud, especially if you…[Read more]

Sometimes, when a nail breaks off, it is just the “sheath” of nail that comes off leaving a little nub containing the quick behind. The nub is going to be sensitive. The good news is that the nail has a high likelihood of growing back eventually. I wouldn’t worry too much about infection since bleeding often flushes away bacteria. But you can…[Read more]

My rabbit had one of her nails fall off today. There was little to no blood at the time the nail fell off but it did have a little bit of blood after she was cleaning it like crazy. She is definitely in a little bit of discomfort, sheโs cleaning herself a lot, but she is still eating and acting like herself, by that I mean flopping almost upside d…[Read more]

My bun had really bad stasis back in January and my vet told me that some rabbits are just hyper prone to catching it.
He recommended Excel brand food and limit her to around a half cup or so a day (she’s about the same size as yours). He also advised possibly adding water to the food so it’s easier for her to digest.
Now there are some days…[Read more]

Hi there! I often read these forums, but decided to make an account to see if I could get any advice on this subject.
Back in February I added a beautiful Tan boy named Cooper to my family (was given to me from my distant family that breeds/shows). I was told he was about a year or so old, and I got him neutered within a month or two to stop his…[Read more]

Okay that sounds like good tips to Try. Today I removed all shavings from her cage, all straw too and only have the litter tray filled with shavings below her hay rack. I also did away with the triangular litter tray and bought 2 new litter trays, both the same colour so as to try and help her establish where to go. She’s still getting yp on the…[Read more]

Ahhh brilliant! ๐ Thank you! I have ordered a misting bottle to Try the technique suggested above. Also would never leave her unattended with ice as I’d be paranoid she might choke. I’ll just be extra visualant and make sure that she only has a nibble at the odd one before it melts in to nice cold water. ๐ This Forum is so helpful. I find alot…[Read more]
