He was moved from one living room to another. Same litter box and but new blankets. In terms of his health he is fine, teeth checked, no gas, and still is eating and drinking.

    Hi guys,

    Hoping for some reassurance really.

Theo hadn’t been eating normally the past while (no hay) and had been chewing his normal poops and spitting them out on the floor which is a new behaviour. I took him to the vet who checked teeth etc and said his teeth were fine and prescribed him metoclopramide and have him a dose of metacam as he t…[Read more]

    Hey!

this could be triggered as there are new smells in this area/maybe not safe for rabbits? Where abouts are they?

    Hey!

i get this sometimes with my two, they do love each other but when foods involved my older chases my younger (excitement?!) but it all stops after the food is given to them. Luckily my younger is a fast runner 😂. How bad is it/frequent? Is there any home changes/old toys? The best way for bonding is to help them settle down by getting them…[Read more]

I have just contacted the vets, and because of social-distancing/COVID-19 they will not see my rabbit. Should I isolate him from the other rabbit or should I leave them? It seems to not be growing, and they said it could be a rabbit pimple.

Yeah, I think the litter box size is a good size, but maybe one that has taller sides (so they can’t knock it over?).
I am currently using Carefresh for the litter, although it is also used for bedding.

do you recommend a different litter? What one does your rabbit use? He is very adorable, by the way. 🐰❤️

Some current pictures of the fur babies!

Oscar after I plucked a bunch of loose fur off of him recently. He wasn’t amused.

And him chilling in the little bunny fort I made for him out of the old cat tree and a blanket.

The kitties, enjoying their new cat tree:

Little Bubbles, also enjoying the new tree 🙂

And Otis, trying to fit on…[Read more]

Yes, medium sized cat litter boxes usually work well. 🙂  I have one for my 3 pounder, it is about 3-4 times his size. If your rabbits are larger than average or if they tend to go in the litter box at the same time, it might be a good idea to get a second (or larger) box.

What kind of litter are you using?

    Hey Hazel  :))

Thanks for your advice! My rabbits are both spayed/neutered, and my litter box is the cat-sized one (not cornered). Is this correct? I’ll try the hay tomorrow 🙂

I am seeing my buns cecotropes. The only change to his life is that we changed where his pen is in the house. Could this be the cause?
The other thing is his appetite is not the same today as he is not eating as much as usual (still eating/drinking though).

Have there been any changes in your household? Like new pets, roommates, cleaning product smells, etc?

Some bunnies go through season periods of squabbling. If it seems like it hasn’t been escalating, and they still have plenty of positive behaviors (grooming each other, cuddling, sharing food and litter box), then I would prob keep an eye on it.…[Read more]

Yes, I attached some of his toys to the sides of his x-pen and I made a DIY hay rack he can chew on in addition to the hay in his litterbox, that way he can have a little more mental stimulation and so the toys appeal more to him.
