Especially if this is a relatively new and rapid development, I think going sooner would be better.
Peeing all over himself and not being able to keep up with the mess is a concerning sign that something abnormal is happening. One thing I am concerned about is the development of urine scald if the underlying problem is not identified. You can…[Read more]

Long story short, my bunny started getting pee ALL OVER his bottom, even above his tail and like near his feet. He also started peeing RIGHT next to the litter box, and before we’ve never had a problem with any of this. He’s partly white, and even then he’s always kept himself super duper clean, but recently things have just started to go…[Read more]

Your male has started puberty. As Hazel says, litterbox habits generally improva a lot after neutering.
To avoid unwanted pregnancy, your buns shouldn’t have exercise time together from now on, and during exercise time, keep in mind that buns can mate through cage bars.

Yes i am going to get them both neutered and spayed at the same time, let them recover then bond, they see eachother everyday, they have seperate play times and always go have a nosey at one another, hops(buck) gets quite restless when he sees fluffy and really wants to get out he knocks on the door lol. Last weekend my 4 year old opened both…[Read more]

Yes, litter habits should improve greatly after the neuter. 🙂 Are you planning to bond them at some point?

@DanaNM this is Percy’s bowl, at times it does look like he does dip his chin all the way in so I did question if the bowl was just not his type. But I will be definitely going to the vet, already set up an appointment (for his neuter) I’m just on a waiting list, but I will be mentioning the situation, cause I am very concerned, he seems to be…[Read more]

I can’t stress enough what the others have said about observing him closely while he’s out at different times and for different lengths of time. My bun has never had anything but the complete run of the house, and he’s never gotten into any real mischief (I think he’s just lazy that way), but there are definitely times when he’s way more active an…[Read more]

Thanks for all the help! I will get her spayed once she’s old enough. I added some hay in the litter box today and I’ll continue placing the poop in the litter box and hopefully she will understand that’s where she has to go! Once she hits puberty, I’ll figure it out all over again 😂
