Hi everyone! So I recently got a my first puppy and I haven’t had any problems between him and my 2 year old netherland dwarf, Paisley. Paisley has had experience with dogs before. She is a little skittish with everything but has never been aggressive towards my family’s dog and has never been attacked by a dog. Since I got my puppy I’ve noticed a…[Read more]

Also, I don’t necessarily want to dissuade you from getting a dwarf. All in all, regardless of rabbit breed, size, sex, etc., there is always the chance of needed medical help. With dwarves, we just see a tendency for more in particular areas due to the facial structure.

I also think the breed temperament idea, similar to dogs, can mean very little when you get the chance to meet individual rabbits. Their personalities are so variable, even within the same breed, just like dogs.
I think just being open minded is a great approach, especially when going into a rescue. I volunteer for my area’s rabbit society to…[Read more]

Hello everyone! So happy to finally be able to post again!

About a month ago i discovered a small bump on Bunny’s arm right by his elbow. I immediately scheduled an appointment with a rabbit savvy vet found on aemv.org. (I recently moved to a different state so had to switch vets 😥 ) I was so nervous about taking him to a new vet…[Read more]

I was getting pretty fed up because I didn’t want him to be a rascal and escape but I bunny proofed the room and now he free roams with an xpen as his “home base”. I would like to remove the xpen so we completely share a room but my mom isn’t up to that yet.

If they’re bonded, it shouldn’t be a problem. Some people recommend certain breeds for new owners based on temperament, but if you’re up to the challenge owning any bunny is worth it! I have heard lop breeds tend to be mellow, but temperament varies from rabbit to rabbit.

I think rabbits are probably the most judgmental animals in the world. 😆
How big is Dorian? Oscar weighs 3 lbs, so he’s on the small side too. He makes up for it with lots of attitude. 🙂 We had Lily (Siamese) before we got Oscar, Mosby came along after. He can get a little frisky with Oscar sometimes, but nothing extreme. Oscar doesn’t…[Read more]

I definitely felt judged while folding, he sat there looking at me like that for 10 minutes 😀 then he just sort of melted into the ground and fell asleep.
& thanks for answering about the cat & bun! I love kitties, but wasn’t sure how the combo would work. Dorian’s on the smaller size so there is that too. Probably will be a bit before any new…[Read more]

Can you move the litter box or the xpen so that it’s less of a step to hop over? Or maybe cardboard to make them taller by the litterbox? At least for a temp solution. That said, I saw some pretty tall xpens for around $50 on amazon, but I wonder if you could maybe see any being sold 2nd hand for cheap on craigslist or such? People get the for…[Read more]
