This can absolutely be about the other bunny in the the house. Rabbits have a very keen sense of smell. Kovu could have picked up the scent from your clothes or skin. Rabbits are highly territorial.

Hopefully he will calm down soon, when he gets used to the scent of the other bun. What are your plans for the new bun?

Im sorry to hear Cocoa isn’t doing well:( I had an EC bun who basically did the same thing. Maybe to entice Cocoa to eat more hay you could mix in some alfalfa. Yes, i am feeding approximately 1/3 cup each meal. I tried to reduce this amount, but he gets extremely hungry. I tried to give him pellets only once a day, hoping that he will eat hay instead, but it didn’t happen. I got him a chew-a-bowl, hopefully it will help.

Unfortunately the aggression is anywhere, whether neutral space or not. I have not yet tried other forms of bonding besides putting them in the xpen with me in it. How odd…. waiting longer and rechecking does seem like the right move. In my mind it would be important to know for sure to make sure she didn’t end up getting a reproductive cancer later in life.

As for the aggression, has that been in neutral territory? It’s common for rabbits to be aggressive towards each other in non-neutral space.

The vet didn’t mention ovaries but I imagine there weren’t any as they thought he could possibly be a male, however she has a vulva. There are cases with rabbits who have no uterus or under-developed uterus. Was there any mention of seeing ovaries? It is the ovaries that actually produce the hormones, I believe.
