It might help to give him multiple places to go around and be curious/graze at the hay. Rabbits are naturally foragers, so it may pique his interest! I know one of my rabbits is eating a lot more hay because I gave him more places to eat it. You can stuff hay in toilet paper tubes, cardboard boxes, etc..

I have thought about going hay only for a while but I don’t think they will be happy with me for it. They thump at feeding time to get me lol 😂 they have parsley, they had sprouts but I cut that out because I know it can cause issues …they have tons of foraging stuff that I know has dandelions and other stuff in and she loves them ..

The things that jumped out to me were broccoli and cauliflower, which can cause gas, and can lead to stasis. Do they get any other greens? Have you tried going to a hay-only diet for a while to see if that helps?

I think teeth was a biggy I didn’t mention, she does have spurs but from current info it’s just the spurs she has always had and no irritation caused by them, checked regularly as my boy bun does have bad teeth so we get paranoid about all things dental

Do you think adding the velvet later on will cause the boys to fight when they aren’t with velvet doing bonding sessions? In their pen/free roam time. (Once we get to that point)

Those seem like more of a treat, so would not be a good replacement for hay. Some humping sounds normal. Trio dynamics are different than pairs, so Patches prob feels the need to so some dominance over Ziggy. The hierarchy might change again in the quad.

The hay is giving to him in a tray and on a side of the litter box. I will reduce his daily amounts of pellets for a week and see if it helps. He is definitely acting like a child. i think he is acting as a spoiled child…

Yes he is a free roam bunny and i took him to lease free parks where he runs fast and got happy in green grass. Thank you for your reply .

Good to know .this was really helpful people . I am glad i asked otherwise would have ended up harming small bunnies.
