@Wick: Ha, Ollie does that, too. I call it “anger peeing.” It only happens occasionally, but it has a certain defiance to it when it does happen.

He’s not currently molting, but he did just get over a molt. I cut back on his pellets this morning and his poops seemed when I checked, but I will definitely cut back on pellets and treats! We are also done traveling for a while so hopefully all of that combined will help his tum to start feeling better. Thank you so much for your reply!

6 years is not too old for surgery. Provided the rabbit is healthy and you have an experienced vet, the risk isn’t higher than with a younger rabbit. Especially considering that a neuter is much less invasive than a spay for example. He still has some hormones going around, which is totally normal post-surgery. You might just have to bunny proof a little more until his hormones settle down in a few more weeks.

I am a huge music lover and a musician, my Louie doesn’t seem to mind my loud music playing from my Alexa, and he just chills out. When I take out my viola to practice, he comes and sits by my feet while I play. It really depends on the rabbit, but calm music shouldn’t really freak them out.

I’m not sure about Canada, but where I live, neuters at the vet are 200-500 dollars at the high end, but some shelters actually offer great deals, my local shelters has a spay+neuter clinic that only charges $90, so that’s a good option to look for around your friend’s area. Your boyfriend’s parents can pick them up and your friend can stay at your home to watch them… it sounds like you will have a solution to this dilemma. I know it’s a lot to ask them to drive 3 hours, but I don’t see what else you could do if your “friends” are refusing to at least assist in the transfer.
