I’m glad I’m not the only one! My last rabbit wouldn’t come out of his cage for about a month then all fo a sudden he started following me around and always wanted his head rubbed lol so I guess I forget how long it takes. Glad to know this seems like a normal time frame.

She is not molting, but it is very hot where I am. I keep the house very cool though, but perhaps she did get hotter today? There’s also been no change to her diet. I am not able to check her temperature, but her airs do feel on the cool side. I’ve honestly never checked them before though so I’m not sure what’s normal?

Also the tumors are always in the same region. Those move quite a bit but are in the same area. It’s so helpless here.

Two other questions:

Are you able to take her temperature?  And how do her ears feel, warm or cold?

A low body temp can indicate a rabbit in a low of pain and in danger of going into shock.

It could be a number of things, but definitely cause to pay attention. The lethargy is worrisome. It sounds like she is in some sort of pain. It could be gas, onset of stasis, or something else. Definitely monitor her, if she is eating and pooping regularly, it may not be a huge concern, but if she is acting differently than normal I would definitely keep an eye out.

Our vet recommends two weeks, but double check with your vet, as some vets might be fine with a shorter period (and it may depend on the specific way the vet does the procedure). The main thing is preventing them from jumping up onto things!

He will surely be on a sugar high… but I doubt anything else will come of it. Like Wick said, just keep an eye out for signs of gastric distress. They aren’t toxic, but too much sugar can lead to upset.

@Skybun  To answer your question about whether the spare room is considered neutral, if your current bun has only darted in there briefly, it is probably pretty neutral. Ah, if they are moving around then I’m going to go with the poop hypothesis. My guess is the cecum comes close to the surface right there and poop is easy to feel when it passes through that portion. Tooth purring is a great sign! Relaxing nearer to you is also a great sign. Just give it some more time, sounds like you are doing well so far. My first bunny Bunston was a very timid boy at first, and took several months to trust me. But once he did he was amazing. I feel like the ones that make you work for it are the most rewarding. 😉
