The bum is quite a sensitive area for bunnies. But in bonded pairs it shouldn’t trigger a tiff. So it sounds like they are not quite back to being bonded yet.

Can you take them to an entirely new neutral space for some longer sessions? Sometimes this can help get over humps.

Sounds good to me. Just remember to always try to end on a positive note. I also like to have the same good behavior repeat a few times before dramatically increasing the amount of time or the strategy (so do the same kind of date a few times in a row). This “cements” the behavior.

Those pine pellets can get dusty for sure, so that would be interesting to test out. I’ve had them vary batch to batch.
