Captain Holly started the topic Is my bunny underweight?? What should I do? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 2 months ago
I can feel her bones really easily and they are a bit sharp
She is about 3-4 months old
Her current diet is alfalfa and oat hay mix 24/7
3 table spoons of Timothy hay pellets per day (this is how much she agrees to eat)
3-2 little pieces of leafy greens
and a tiny piece of fruit
What should I do?
I read somewhere that oats are a good way to…[Read more]

I just got my lunch break and gave him a little salad and he ate up. I’m so relieved!

My bunny Vilde has made a habit of parking himself on my chest when I have gone to bed for the night. He doesn’t flop, he just sinks into place, so to speak. I have understood that I’m supposed to pet him when he does this. After 10-20 minutes he hops away.
My bun is 7 years old and I’ve had him for almost 2 years.

Hey guys, I just joined this forum and am so grateful for this bunny loving community. I have a male Holland lip named nugget and he is around ten weeks old. So anyways- I love him with all of my heart and absolutely adore petting him. It helps me with my anxiety and Nugget seems to enjoy it as well. Occasionally, Iโll put a treat in front of h…[Read more]

Yes, I think a little bit of critical care could have set the intestines in motion (maybe he successfully passed some gas as a result). The CC could so have given him enough energy to perk up and want to eat.
So great to hear that he’s started to eat on his own!

Hi Bam lol
Ok now I do have a question. This bunny NEVER refuses his favorite treats but refused all food this morning. Now my boyfriend offered him a treat and he ate it and says he’s nibbling on hay. So my question is, if he has a mild tummy ache could giving him one little dose of critical care have helped? Maybe he just needed a little…[Read more]

Arguably the main purpose of Binkybunny.com is for rabbit owners to write about their experiences, contribute, and ask questions for the public and themselves in order to learn and help others.
In my opinion, what makes Binkybunny more helpful and welcoming can be that it’s a community mostly of people who have had rabbits for years, and reading…[Read more]

I don’t need any advice or anything, just needed rabbit people to talk to because Ben refused breakfast and the vet isn’t open yet. His tummy doesn’t feel hard but he wouldn’t even eat carrot and was sitting hidden in a place he doesn’t normally sit. I gave him a little critical care and now I’m just waiting for the vet to open so I can drop him…[Read more]

He might, but I think it’s more likely that he would flop next to you like Louie said. Bunnies like to flop pretty dramatically, so I thinkย they probably prefer to do it on solid ground. ๐

Bam replied to the topic Question about Given Rabbit Medication in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 2 months ago
I have only used fucithalmic eye drops with a rabbit. That worked very well.
I found a study where rabbits were given ofloxacine eye drops to see if the substance harmed the retinal cells (the cells that convey vision). The ofloxacine penetrated into the tissues of the eye but no signs of harm to the retinal cells was found.
I found old forum…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic accidentally cut into the quick in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 2 months ago
I doubt it’s possible to have pets for a longer period of time and never happen to cut into the quick of a nail at one time or other. Especially if the pet has dark nails, as most have. It does make you feel like a horrible person, and it can look pretty dramatic, but it is more or less par for the course. If you nip down to the pet store to get…[Read more]
