That seems like a lot to me. I would focus more on alfalfa and weigh her regularly. As LBJ10 mentioned, young bunnies can be pretty lean and that’s OK.

Hello everyone I just wanted to pop in and let you know Luna is doing so well since coming off veggies. Looks like that may have been the cause after all- I don’t want to say too much because before this it was every 3 months this happened so we still have a ways to go to be sure but she is like a different rabbit.

Update on Dawn:  She’s better on her feet, refused to use the ramp.  There’s 50 bucks I won’t get back…little stinker can get upstairs on her own just fine, she was shamming.  I spent WEEKS carrying her up and down the stair, with her probably laughing the whole time.

+ you probably know this but make sure you do lots of prebonding for a few weeks!

I agree with the posts above. They just need to establish a hierarchy. If you have two rabbits that want to be dominant and won’t give in to the other bunny, it’s going to take longer. I adopted two separate males from the same shelter and I’ll be getting them next week. I’ll attempt to bond them after they’ve recovered from their neuters.…[Read more]
