We took Louie for some speed dates at a rescue, and this sweet girl was who the owner paired us with to start. Little did we know we would be taking her home! She was part of a rabbit colony that was found out by a road, and her sister who she was paired with before unfortunately didn’t make it through surgery. She was very calm and consistently…[Read more]

If you have a farm feed store anywhere near you, itās likely they will have alfalfa rabbit pellets. I also saw them at Walmart if you have one where you live. When you switch her pellets, start by adding in a bit of the new pellets to the current ones then increase until itās just the new pellets. This should prevent stomach issues from swi…[Read more]

@LBJ10 Should each of the veggies in there be introduce one at a time or is it okay to give them a little bit of the mix and increase it until the bunny is used to it?

Just to give some encouragement, it’s rare for bunnies to be truly un-bondable. Two females is thought to be the hardest combo due to females being more territorial, and being new to bonding I can see how it would be very hard. I’m guessing things will go a little more easily with your next two, especially with abundant neutral territory to work…[Read more]

@Bu20055 I get that. ): People need to do lots of research online before getting a pet… And never listen to the workers… lol

@Moonlightbunnybunny66
I know! It bothers me so much! Small animal doesnāt equal small space! Itās an issue with all small animals, which is so sad. Iām definitely glad Pepperās my little man instead of a toy for a child in a critter trail. Gosh! The thought of the mistreatment they go through makes me want to take them all!

Hi all!
So Iām planning on adopting a rabbit soon (after my birthday), and I think I might have found a hay source but I have a few questions. So the hay is being sold by the owner of the barn where my sister boards her horse.
1.- The owner is still getting back to us on what type of hay the bales are specially, but Iām wondering what kin…[Read more]

@Breakie
I am so very sorry for your situation. š I have wished more than one time that rabbits would just get along and not have to do the bonding process, but alas it must be. One positive effect of bonding though is your not just bonding the bunnies to each other, you are also bonding them to you too, so you and them can develop a very good…[Read more]

@Bu20055 Yikes. She was probably being defensive since she doesnāt know the proper care. I wish pet stores knew better and would train the employees to give people better advice. Even though hamsters are small, it doesnāt mean they deserve a tiny cage to sit and be bored in! Your hamster should be glad it has you and not that worker. š

@LBJ10 Thank you so much. Good information! Yeah, then I donāt know why she would recommend feeding them yogurt when thereās probiotics that are better for them. I donāt even have my bunnies yet and didnāt ask for information from her. 😬 I guess she was trying to help but ended up giving bad advice. I donāt believe the papaya is necessary…[Read more]

Wow. The stuff the pet store people tell you.
I was once in the store comparing prices on bedding for my hammy and I bought three bags (enough to fill his 75 gallon with half a bag left). The person checking me out laughed and made a joke about stocking for the apocalypse. I told her that itād be gone in mere months. She was utterly confused and a…[Read more] - Load More
