HE IS SO CUTE OMG. His wide eyes look confused but sweet, I’m looking forward to new photos! You plan to bond Tater Tot and Joey, right? Wishing you an easy bond!

UGH MY HEART I CAN’T. He reminds me so much of Wick when I just got him ahhhh. TATER TOT.

His fur very much looks like the same texture/length as my Wick’s, which means you can look forward to velvety-soft fur that is very shiny in photographs, haha. BEAUTIFUL!

Considering their weight, probably not a shoulder one. Wick is 2lb and Fable is 5lb, and I already have to two arm them in their carrier, haha. I can’t imagine with two bigger rabbits.

A deciding factor can be both of their behaviors toward fabric. If either are inclined to chew fabric when frustrated, a soft-sided one may not be wise.

    Another…[Read more]

I picked him up about an hour ago. He’s really nervous right now so I only took a couple of pictures of him. He came with a Wabbitat (I think that is what they said not 100% sure). I’m going to let him use it for now since he’s so nervous and I don’t want to change everything on him all at once. It is plenty big enough for his tiny self right n…[Read more]

As I now have two buns, I’m looking for a new carrier that can fit both, when we took them home together we had to use a makeshift carrier because they can’t both squeeze into Louie’s, and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on a good kind of carrier. I’m not sure which would be more convenient, a soft-sided one or a more kennel type one.…[Read more]

Ah yes, prob her fur type then. She probably just needs more grooming over all if she’s part angora.

Have you taken a look at his scent glands? Sometimes they need to be cleaned and can make buns a bit stinky.

My neutered boy will leave onion-y poops when they are territorial ones. Does it seem like they are only when he is marking or is it all of them?

Wick & Fable replied to the topic HELP! My bunnies stomach is gurgling loudly in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 1 month ago

I recently realized one of my rabbits seems to have audible tummy gurgles pretty often. I was worried about it, as my other rabbit only has it when he is visibly gassy and uncomfortable. For the female (gurgly-one), she has it, but eats so much hay, drinks a lot of water, poops plenty, sprints plenty, etc.. Since all the health behaviors are there…[Read more]

Thank you for taking in this rabbit. There are a couple things that stand out to me in reading your situation that will hopefully be helpful for you:

    1. It sounds like the previous owner(s) were not very rabbit-experienced. Following a spay/neuter, there is typically a hormonal surge that happens which exaggerates hormonal behaviors, so rabbits…

His diet is pellets and timothy hay. When I started hearing these noises I took the pellets away for a bit but that didn’t seem to help. He normally just ate pellets and was always fine, but I recently started adding hay to his second cage… I have him a baby gas tab, and pineapple juice, now I am limiting his food. I also have been giving him…[Read more]

Hi every one. I have a 4 year old buck who is rehomed. He has scars on his ears from fights with his previous mate who became aggressive  after being spayed. So, to make the story short, I brought him home and my family and I were excited and introduced our rabbit to him too soon and he bit our rabbit and my husband. The plan is to house them in…[Read more]

Today marked one week of taking Lola home, and I started cage swaps. I left the room for about an hour, and when I returned, Louie had a lot of territorial poops, but none from Lola and no marking pee. It’s a few hours later now, and Louie flopped down in Lola’s enclosure, and I think Lola is enjoying the upgrade of space in Louie’s xpen. A few…[Read more]

While neutering does significantly decrease, and in many cases completely eliminate, the onion-y poops, they can still occur. My female rabbit still does it even though she is spayed, and I am sure a big part of it is because firstly, she had been introduced into my home a year ago so it was new and smelled of another rabbit, and secondly, she and…[Read more]

I adopted my rabbit Kovu last December when he was about 8 weeks old and by January  of 2020 he started peeing everywhere and his poop smelled like onions. I did tons of research online and realized that it was just regular male bunny puberty and he would go back to normal after being neutered.

He has been neutered since February and he is very…[Read more]

    Thanks for the tip!

She isn’t molting right now and they seem to be a little higher up on her back in a place that wouldn’t get soiled very easily. Could it just be because of her fur type? She looks like a huge angora 😀
