Yes! I’ve already tried that and he fell fast asleep to it! It definitely works! That was the first time I’ve seen him flop and it was adorable! He done it 3 times since then. I tried again just a bit ago getting on his level and letting him investigate and this time he jumped on my legs and sat there for a while. It looks like we’re making progress!

Thanks for the ideas! I am going to try a small round cup that attaches to an upside down soda bottle (small perimeter, but always same water level–it’s for chickens, I think) as well as an olive tray for the narrow shallow option–idea being he can’t get much if his chin in either of these. We’ll see how it goes! The hair under his chin i…[Read more]

I dont think Panacur interacts much with other drugs. I found a mention of diazepam being used to control seizures and fenbendazole as the best drug to suppress e cuniculi.
I’m not sure this link works, if it doesn’t, please pm me and I’ll get you a copy.

Sounds good. 🙂 One thing I like to do with my buns is play some soft piano, and they LOVE it. You sound like a good friend for your bun, I’m sure you two will get along great.

<p style=”padding-left: 40px;”>I will alert forum moderator Jerseygirl to this thread. She has more experience with reading x-rays than I have. I have a dental bun with many bad teeth, with a lot more misalignment than your x-ray is showing. My vet told me that teeth that are all white on the x-rays are dead teeth, ie teeth that are not growing…[Read more]

My bun get’s certain corners where he get’s obsessive about digging in corners, blankets especially add to it. I find making the area less appealing get’s him to stop after a while. Usually a board, piece of cardboard, or such in the area and removing blankets helps. Or a box with some shredded paper or one of his blankets if you want him to be…[Read more]

Thanks @Wick ! I have never quite seen him react that way, I was worried he was going to hurt himself as he was running about so erratically. I just didn’t know if there were certain things that commonly set off buns so I can be more cautious. Had a cat who absolutely hates black boots with shoelaces, so if this is just some random Dorian specific…[Read more]

I got some critical care fine grind and am wondering where to store it so that it lasts the longest. It says a cool dry place and I’m wondering whether I should store it on a shelf or in the freezer or fridge?

LBJ, I absolutely will request it. I’m going to see if they can mix Panacur with….is it Diazapam for seizures? I can never remember the name. She’s going in tomorrow.
Thank you. I know she’s seven, and she’s technically an old lady bunny now, but I love the little monster. (She’s totally my daughters rabbit. Totally. Not mine at all.)

I have a 4 month old Netherland dwarf rabbit named Baylor. I just got him yesterday and I have a few questions about his diet. Currently I have been giving him unlimited Timothy hay and water in a dish. I also give him Oxbow young rabbit pellets and am wondering if I should feed him unlimited pellets or should I measure out 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, or a…[Read more]

MichiganRabbits replied to the topic Giving bun free roam time right away? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago
When I got my rabbit, he was very outgoing. When I opened his pen on the second day to refill his water dish, he hopped out to explore. I guess it depends on your rabbit and it’s personality/how fast it adjusts to it’s new home. Have fun with your new furry friend and thanks for researching beforehand❤️

Thanks for the advice! He is not neutered yet, but we have a vet appointment scheduled to get him checked out this week. I’ll have to talk to the vet about neutering him. I’ll make sure to spend plenty of time with him so that we can form a loving bond! This morning I let him out for some playtime and got down on his level. He didn’t seem too i…[Read more]

yes she is on meloxicam and tummy meds and now we have started enroflaxacin, I’ve run out of CC and delivery date for that is for 10 days later, for now she’s being fed a makeshift CC of zupreem guinea pig pellets and some basil leaves and banana.
Is there anyone here who could read the xray? Cause I don’t really trust the vets here, one said…[Read more]

So tiny! Very much a doppelganger to moderator Wick’s Wick!
I dont think pellets can be too big. Problems can arise with too small pellets, greedy rabbits can inhale small pellets and choke on them. In later years I’ve been giving my buns Fibafirst sticks (not available in the USA currently), they are 10 cm long and 1 cm wide, so they are really…[Read more]

Thanks a lot for the reply.
Toys are everywhere too, and I moved them around so he has to look for them etc. I feel sometimes he would benefit from a bunny relationship as he follows me and grooms me a lot. It’s on my plans but I have to move cities soon so I’ll wait for that to happen first.
The spot is one corner of the bed, next to the…[Read more]
