Thank you all for your advice! I am somewhat suspicious of the previous owner, but there’s nothing I can do about the past.

3/4 types I can do. I don’t plan to do zero pellet but I do think they’ll be more happy with a daily salad.
Thanks for the tips.

Karou definitely screamed.
I will try to less stress bonding, I don’t like the idea of stressing them, especially with Alfred.
Thanks!

@Sirius&Luna
Thanks for the response, we tried with two people but it was with the bunny on one person’s lap and the other administering the meds. I like the idea of using a table, you think if we hold them down more (As opposed to only a wrap) they won’t squirm as much? We had the buns in a burrito under the arm, but I’m thinking maybe we can u…[Read more]

Sirius&Luna replied to the topic How do you feed multiple rabbits? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago
I just hand-feed pellets to my trio, so I keep an eye on who gets what, as one will stuff them all in her mouth before the others get a chance. It also helps prevent choking for greedy buns, and is a nice way to bond with them. I don’t bother separating veggies – i figure the bigger bunnies need a bigger portion anyway, so they get roughly the…[Read more]

Do you have anyone else who can help you? Sometimes with very determined rabbits, two people can make the process a lot easier. One person can hold the rabbit still in their arms (do this over a table if you fear you might lose control of them), while the second person holds their head still and squirts the medicine into the side of their mouth.…[Read more]

Hi @furballover
After Alfred is spayed, you should wait a month before you do any bonding or pre-bonding. For, hormones will still be ‘floating around’ a month after. Did Karou scream an actual full scream? Or was it more honking?
I don’t know about letting Alfred out in the playpen until a week of healing, but that could just be me being an…[Read more]

Generally the recommendations are that a rabbit’s diet should be about 85-90% hay, 10% veg, 5% pellets.
While I also only feed my bunnies a spoonful of pellets, they are important for nutrients and vitamins. To ensure they’re getting the correct nutrients without pellets, you need to feed a huge variety of greens each day (I believe 8 to 10…[Read more]

I have 2 buns, Karou who has been with me 7 months and is spayed, and Alfred who has been with me just over a month and not yet spayed. Alfred has bunny syphilis so the spay has to be delayed until she gets the all clear from the vet, which should be this week *fingers crossed*. After this she’ll be spayed. My concern is that when Karou first saw…[Read more]

My two girls are both on greens – mostly romaine lettuce. Karou has been with me about 7 months, she’s 3 lbs and gets about 1 cup of green lettuce every day. Alfred is a little over 5 lbs but is on a diet to loose a bit of weight and has only been with me about a month so we’re still building up her [yes, it’s a girl] greens amount. Both are over…[Read more]

Definitely sounds like bunny puberty. Is he neutered? Unneutered rabbits tend to have these problems. Peeing on the bed, restless energy. It could also make him calmer. Chewing Apple wires? Chewing wires is not good for buns, could you do some more bunny proofing so that he can’t get to them?
If you put him in his pen in the night, then he would…[Read more]

Unfortunately, I recommend re-bonding them. I had my trio perfectly bonded, they were great, but then I ran into the problem you are in right now. 🙁 I kept saying ‘other than that, their fine’ but, one day, all three of them were done with each other. OB’s ear had a bite that was bleeding, so that day they were separated. OB still has a scar.…[Read more]

Hmmm, do you like to stay while he has his free-roam time? Maybe you could sit in that spot and block him when he tries? Or, could you take a box the size of that corner and put it there so he can go on the box?

When I first got my bun I kept him in a temporary makeshift cage. But then I started to let him free roam and I fear he has become too spoiled now. He then started to be like going through puberty and being extra naughty, so yeah chewing apple wires ( he literally only chews apple wires it’s so odd). I would let him free roam during night but t…[Read more]
