That noise is too cute! Bonnie is very adorable as well! I read this thread this morning, and tonight I heard Louie make this sound as I pet him, which is new, I’ve never heard him do it before!

The first day or two I had Lola, I had a few bouts of onion poops too, I just opened the window and had the fan circulating the air to the window, the smell can be pretty bad, but hopefully it dies down soon as well as your new bunnies’ hormones, because as I recall, they were recently neutered.

I dump my rabbits’ litter boxes every other day, it’s the best way for me to know I’m not wasting too much, and by the third day their litter boxes will probably be very soiled, so every other day works great. I put banana on their heads and I got a few short grooms from Theo and a 10 min groom from Calliope!! Is this enough to establish hierarchy or is there anything else I can try or do? I was planning on do it a few times everyday until I see them grooming on their own.

That’s great! Hope it works. It’s funny how hard it is to get them to eat something so important. It’s like kids and veggies I guess 😛

Thank you for the info! It seems it’ll be ok to wait a bit then – I will definitely keep an eye out for any difficulty breathing. I haven’t heard any whistling or breathing noise so he seems like he’s breathing fine. Did you see him make these poops perchance? Some or all of them may be him actually being in the litterbox and his butt hanging off the edge (so not completely in it), and this they fall down.

There may be an unwillingness to jump into the litter box as well, which can’t really be helped except making the lip lower, or putting the hay someplace…[Read more]

If he has an upper respiratory infection, a couple days won’t make too much of a difference based on the current phase of symptoms. If he was having difficulty breathing, then yes, ASAP is definitely best, but at this stage it should be OK to wait a couple days until the vet appointment.
