I personally haven’t had this happen, but flopping is a communication means for rabbits! Perhaps relief, or a snide “Pff… I don’t care that just happened at all.”

hi everyone, I have kind of a weird question. Is it normal for bunnies to flop right after being held? My mom was vacuuming and I had to pick up Lola because she wasn’t moving and was just chilling, and she just nibbled on a treat from my hand and was calm, and when I put her down, she struggled a little and so I waited for her to calm down and…[Read more]

Hazel: This was an old photo, now, Silver and OB rarely cuddle with Smokey. *Sigh* Bonding has not made any progress, no ups or downs. Hey, at least we’re not getting worse, what am I complaining about? We still need some pics of Oscar, though… 😛
PrinceDorian: Thank you, we need more of Dorian, he’s too cute to have only one photo! 😉

@princedorianthebun LOL sounds cute! I do wanna teach them tricks but if I hand feed treats to Pinky he gets too excited and nips lol. I have been letting them out sometimes while I’m trying to come up with a way to cover my wires in a better way than throwing a blanket over them and making sure the buns don’t go over there… I wanna be let…[Read more]

She doesn’t hate you. She’s going through what we call “Post-spay hormonal craze” the first 4-6 weeks after spay, they have a rush of hormones, making them really unpleasant to be around, but after it goes away, it leaves you with the most lovable bun you could ever ask for. You will get through this! Wishing you strength!

So 2 weeks ago I had my bunny Starlight spayed, she ran into a bit of tummy trouble so I’ve had to feed her medicine. Usually she’s fine with being syringe fed but lately she freaks out and stomps her foot and makes little barking noises. She won’t look at me, moves to the other end of her pen when i go in to hang out or even charges me and tries…[Read more]

Sounds like you are doing everything right. I second what JackRabbit said about the pellets. I would also try mixing up the hay. Timothy and Orchard Grass are the most common, but there are different cuts. My buns are use to “farm” hay, which is a lot stalker than bag store hay. This spring was very wet and I had to use store hay for 2 weeks and…[Read more]

Yes, I have a back up fleece. I love your idea of putting him in his carrier. He is a fabric chewer so I have to be careful to lay it flat. Also the vinegar and water idea is great and I’ll have to remember that for next time he has a small accident.

If the spot isn’t too big, you can spot clean with water and vinegar and just re-arrange things slightly so it can air dry without the litter box over it. Workflow wise, you can probably that the fleece off without needing to deconstruct the Xpen, but just strategically lifting it section by section by section as you gather the fleece? For the…[Read more]

Took Griff to vets last night. The vet said he really looked good. He said he does not have a UTI. Considering his history, he thinks he has developed incontinence. The vet proscribed proin for the next 2 weeks.

Hi I’m new to this forum and I kinda wanted to hear if anyone has had this experience because I can’t find any info anywhere! My bun django developed a lump just outside the opening of his ear a couple weeks back, took him to the vet and they stuck a scalpel in it to find out what was inside, turns out it was a haematoma which is caused by a bur…[Read more]
