Agreed, you should ask for Revolution by name to be on the safe side if it ends up being mites. ๐

Rabbits actually have very good eyesight in the dark,ย so no, your rabbit will not need a nightlight:). Are you the same person who is getting the new rabbit today? Please forgive me if you aren’t! ๐

Hi.
Weird question but I was just wondering, are rabbits okay in complete darkness or do they need a nightlight?

Yeah, I wouldn’t be concerned. Different hay (even if it’s the same type) can cause the poo to change color.

Just make sure the non-rabbit vet doesn’t try to use something that is unsafe for rabbits! Sometimes they just don’t know.

I would caution against feeding greens to a bunny this young. As you know, his gut flora probably isn’t very robust yet so feeding greens could cause upset. Him being so young is not ideal, but he should be able to manage on an alfalfa-based pellet and hay.

Haha, I haven’t been doing that long of sessions. Well, the longest I think I’ve done straight was 3-4 hours. I do multiple sessions a day though, that usually adds up to 3-4 hours though. When I do the marathon, how big should space be? Thank you for the response, all of the replies I get are really helping to make the bags that have formed under…[Read more]

Ughh the girls are kind of testy and itโs giving me doubts about my strategy. Bonnie keeps doing things that are very rude IMO (like lunging atย Myra while sheโs drinking so Myra choked on her water). Hmmm.

It’s somewhat up to you. With some of my pairs, I waited until they seemed pretty much bonded before going for an overnight (supervised still). Others I actually marathoned to actually finish the bond. How long has your longest session been at this point?

HipHopBunny replied to the topic Bungled Bonding Updates in the forum BONDING 6 years ago
That could work. ๐ Good idea! How soon should I do a marathon? They still nip Smokey, but just now they were snuggling with her! ๐ Thank you for your response.

I would use the space you’ve been working with them in, but find a different flooring solution. Maybe get a big piece of plywood? You could put some cardboard on top of it as well. Since it’s temporary it wouldn’t matter if they peed on it or chewed it.

Nothing to worry about, it’s normal. Mine get really golden poops when I give them oat hay.
And you can just switch between grass hays, no need to slowly transition.

The room they are in right now for semi-neutral has mats on the floors, and I moved their x-pens in there. If I didn’t, haha, they’d have the whole house. When I take them in there for dates though, they’ve chewed the mats so much! ๐ฅ How can I make it so they don’t chew? The neural space – I was in a rush to figure out neutral areas, so it is…[Read more]

Her whiskers an eyelashes are totally adorable.
Yeah. I canโt imagine looking at her face and thinking another name. Sheโs been at the rescue for about 4 months and Iโve been following them the whole time sheโs been there.

Esther is a very cute name for a elegant older lady bun ๐ย I love her curly eyelashes and whiskers <3
I know what you mean, my most recent three buns kept their shelter names because they just had them so long and they suited them. Doesn’t stop me from giving them nicknames though!
