They don’t need a nightlight. At least not all night. But from my own personal experience, I can tell you that someone does like having the light on in the evening, particularly in the winter when it gets dark early. 🙄

Okay, thank you. 🙂 I could do that, for the actual marathon though, should I have them in a 4×4 area though? I don’t want to give them too much space out of worry that they would not focus on each other. 🙄 Silver who I have nicknamed Gaston, for she “shoots from behind” and in a small territory I think it could help with that, for then they…[Read more]

I’ve added the picture & it says awaiting moderation. Her poop looks like chopped up hay inside.
Karou is still regrowing her belly fur from her spay in May. Heh, that rhymes.
She loves sweet things so I’ll get her some orchard & oat grass.

Her name is Esther! That’s the name she had when she came to the rescue.

Thank you for the replies! I have been feeding him romain lettuce for the past 4 days and everything seems fine after. I’ll feed the other buns the greens instead and of course curb the veggies for now and ensure he has tons of hay, water and pellets.

Thanks, I know :). She’s 6 years old so she’s way done growing and she could actually lose a little weight (the person the rescue got her from fed her unlimited young rabbit pellets- yikes!). But thanks anyways! 😀

Sounds great! Now I don’t know how old she is, but all I know is that young rabbits are supposed to eat alfalfa hay instead of grass hay until they are 4-5 months old, so they gain proper weight:).

You could try some 6-8 hour sessions before deciding to go for the marathon if you wanted to. I would use the same size space you are already bonding in. 🙂

She’s got a nice big pile of grass hay in her box, some veggies and a lil bit of pellets (she didn’t have her dinner before she came, she has late meals). She’s eaten some of her pellets and some nibbles of hay and veggies. She’s also eaten some of her hay mat, which she really enjoys!

His gut flora should establish over time with a diet of mostly hay. I agree that greens should be avoided for now. Just lots of grass hay and an alfalfa based pellet.
