I hope he likes them! Buns can be so particular, it’s great when you find something they love!

Personally, I wouldn’t consider it an emergency. And if he’s doing good right now, then I would think it’s probably OK to wait a little bit. If he was having a lot of sneezing or discharge at the moment, then I would at least get him checked out for a URI.

Hmm I think I found what you’re talking about and with a quick read of the ingredients I didn’t see anything that’s BAD for them per say but hey aren’t the greatest. For treats I recommend small slices of fruit or of non-leafy veggies. A lot of the heavily processed treats are hard on their tummies and full of unnecessary fillers/sugars.

I’m not sure what you mean about indoor/outdoor pellets but maybe someone else can help with that. With two rabbits it can help to give them each their own pellet bowl, and keep them to their own bowls. Yes you would likely feed more pellets with two rabbits, each rabbit would get a proper amount for their weight.

Please help me too
Am facing the same problem, while cutting my rabbit nails I don’t know how I mistakenly cut my pet rabbit finger, though the bleedings is from the nail I cut off and not her skin, I just don’t know what to do so I just tied a piece of cloth on that leg tight so she won’t infect it mistakenly

DanaNM replied to the topic Litter Box Digging in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 11 months ago
I’ve seen people use shredded paper, play sand, and even organic potting soil… depends on how messy you want things to get!
Also be warned some buns will just use the digging box as a litter box… so I think some ppl will use paper so they can just throw it out if it gets soiled.

Recent discovery, we started giving the buns palm plates to chew (they use them at the shelter and are very popular), and Bun Jovi has stopped chewing his litter box and digging in the floor! It’s a miracle!
So you might check them out! If you search for “organic palm plate” you will find some safe options.

DanaNM replied to the topic Litter training problems, hates being in his cage, and digs out all his hay 🙁 in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 11 months ago
Agreed, sounds like it’s hormones kicking in. All bunnies love to be out of their cage, so that is normal. Some vets will neuter at 4 months if the bun is “dropped” and large enough, so if he is really showing a lot of hormonal behaviors (which it sounds like he is) you could look into a vet that will neuter earlier.
So you might need to restrict…[Read more]

Romaine is a pretty widely known “super safe” veggie. If he’s able to eat a whole leaf now and has been constant at it for a week or so, I think you can go ahead and increase the amount.

Some bunnies just like to do this, and decide it is fun one day! You can get a litter box screen to prevent it. You can also provide a “digging box” to help satisfy that instinct.

Hello all.
I’ve had my girl Ripley for approx 5 years now (we believe she’s about 7 or 8 years old). She is spayed. Black lionhead.
Off and on we notice that she likes to dig her litter box up. This has been occurring more frequently in the last few weeks. She starts it as early as the day after we clean their pens and change out their lit…[Read more]
