I want to be clear that I am making no judge or impressions of your relationship. I just want to note that this is something that seems important to have a serious conversation about, mainly if things cannot be resolved in a way he likes, is there room for negotiation, as well as what negotiations are you willing to make, if needed.
Will revisit…[Read more]

prince dorian the bun replied to the topic Winter fur in the forum THE LOUNGE 5 years, 11 months ago
I don’t really have pics, but early summer shed for Dorian had a lot more greige to his usual grey, with a couple patches around his neck that were definitely closer to a beigy color than grey. I don’t really know if his color went darker this summer, may have a bit, his coat makes it that it looks different in different lights so I am not sure…[Read more]

😃
This could be a temporary effect of the undercoat and the guard hairs growing out separately.
Here’s an old pic of my bun Yohio, mid-shed. The fur that grew out first was a deep peach color that was very beautiful. When all layers of hair had come in, his color was back to the normal yellow.

My foster bun basically had the exact same bald spot in the exact same location and it turned out to be shedding as well (I also made a worried post on it a few months ago haha). Don’t be too worried if a few more spots come up as long as in a week or two some hair starts growing back 🙂

I noticed that Muffin’s fur has been becoming darker as it’s getting cooler. And somehow it’s even softer than before! Here you can see the difference in the shedding. If you guys have pics of your bunny’s fur changing colour I’d love to see. 😀I read that the fur is supposed to get lighter in the winter and darker in the spring. But I feel li…[Read more]

Dana would these be easy picking’s for chewers? As in, is it easy to get purchase on it to start chewing? Whether on the edges or in the square surface itself?

I have two pets- Shasi (bunny) and a Sunny (dog). At first, they’re great together, but then Shasi makes Sunny hyper by moving suddenly or Sunny scares Shasi by making a sudden movement. Right now, my bunny is free roaming in my room. When the weather’s nice, I let Sunny out in the backyard and let Shasi roam the entire house. I would love to…[Read more]

Aww bummer! Not sure what other stores are available, but I think any type of home-goods or office store could potentially carry them?

Sounds like a good plan with Rosie and Gwen. I think more pre-bonding, and more sessions could help. Also not sure if you’ve tried stressing, but car rides can be really helpful. You have someone who can drive while you supervise to make sure there is no fighting.

This is the thing I’m talking about, you could maybe find something similar that fits the space or even make your own -

I’m sorry about your situation :(. Maybe you could get one of those ikea bench things that you can cut an entrance in and put their box inside of that. That way when poops get out of the box, you won’t see them. A bigger box might also help; my girl was pooping out of her box a ton, but now that she has a bigger box, there’s only maybe 3 or 4 poo…[Read more]

Agreed, this sucks 🙁 I hope you can find a reasonable solution.
It’s tough because it’s hard to get perfect litter box habits with a bun. Not sure if you ever watched the Youtube channel Lennon the Bunny, but the owner seemed to be able to achieve near-perfect litter training by picking up her bun whenever she could see a poop coming (when L…[Read more]

Some mounting is normal in some bonded pairs. As long as it doesn’t cause an argument, you are all good.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic What did you pay for dental work at the vets? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 11 months ago
Around $120. Things that can factor in are the equipment used, what team needs to be present to complete it and if there are accompanying tests (ie blood tests) that might be lumped into it.
To your knowledge are they experienced with teeth trims?

Lindsey replied to the topic Hay brands in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 11 months ago
If you’re still looking for some suggestions: I’ve been purchasing “Rabbit Hole Hay” brand timothy for a while now – and it’s a hit with my two boys! Like with most hay & SPS, there are different cuts. My bunnies seem to prefer the first cut timothy, and it is the best looking hay as well, i.e. green, fragrant, good mixture of stems, leaves, &…[Read more]

Thanks! 😆 Now I just hope they’ll still love each other after the vet tomorrow. I definitely got lucky picking these two boys to bond.
