Hopefully you were able to make an appointment with your regular vet. 🙂

I suppose if you want to be super cautious, you can make sure your bird doesn’t come in contact with any of Charlie Brown’s nasal secretions. Like if you’re holding him, maybe change your shirt before letting your bird sit on your shoulder. Washing your hands between…[Read more]

Thank you Bu20055! I’m pretty overprotective if you can’t tell LOL. I mean better safe than sorry right? But yeah doing just romaine tomorrow seems like it won’t harm him. I’ll see how it goes.

Holy crap… this seems like such an outrageous price to me. I’ve gotten 4 bunnies spayed/neutered at a local vet for $80-120 and the procedure has gone perfectly every time. I would NOT spend anywhere near that amount of money… maybe $300 at the most is what I’d consider but man, even that’s pushing it. Read reviews on the “cheaper” vet and m…[Read more]

Esther doesn’t seem bothered swapping between different veggies day by day or week by week. I don’t see the need to reduce slowly, because it’s different than giving them something they’ve never had before. I’d say go ahead a switch fully to romaine.

Thank you DanaNM! Only Muffin has been seen there and treated for the situation he had going on around his mouth. He healed up but I haven’t been able to have a good look at it for a while. Pinky wasn’t seen by the rabbit vet yet, they only went to the regular vet to get treated for ear mites together.

I’ll see if I can start weighing them then…[Read more]

If it’s up on the walls it sound like spraying to me.

I googled a bit about the difference between spraying and just peeing outside the litterbox. I’m not sure when rabbits start spraying (is it once they reach sexual maturity around 3-6 months?), but when he pees next to my desk, it’s usually in smaller amounts against the wall. Then there are the normal pee puddles where he misses the litterbox..

Hi guys! I’d like to give the buns more variety in veggies but we don’t have much for sale apart from lettuces, a few types of herbs, kale, and some other veggies that are never good quality. We do have box mixes available, some which are actually pretty good quality, that I’ve been considering feeding in combination with lettuce and some herbs…[Read more]

I had my makeup stuff on my bed and left to go outside for a few minutes. My rabbit, Wiggles, is free roam and always goes on my bed. However, when I came back  I could only find one side of the eyelash. I think she ate the other. I’m worried. Should I be? And what should I do?

I got a paper towel wet and dabbed it, it’s definitely not blood. I think maybe I gave her too many pellets and it made her droppings a little watery. She’s acting normal

    Oh excellent! o:

The vets I called made it seem like it was out of the question. Most of the sources online said get them fixed before they’re middle aged. Definitely agree, I just didn’t have an option with him aha. Thanks!!

The local rescues have neutered rabbits much older than 6, I believe they recently neutered an 8 year old? As long as he is otherwise healthy and the vet is rabbit savvy, neutering him will be very low risk. My girl was spayed a few months ago, she’s 6 too, and spays are more invasive and higher-risk than neuters.

Six is not too old if he is in good health otherwise. I would keep calling different vets. If they are rabbit savvy and do lots of neuters it should not be a problem.

    Hello 🙂

I’ve been reading these forums for advice for a while and have a questions I didn’t find. Two months ago I took in a six year old unfixed male who was in a bad way. He walks a bit funny but has otherwise recovered. The bonding attempts with my pair so far have been a failure. I tried to see if a bond without fixing him was possible, but…[Read more]

I noticed some brown liquid where Bernard was sitting. I don’t think it’s blood but I don’t have any hydrogen peroxide to completely rule it out. When she reached down she got a little on her face. Is this normal? Poor girl has already been to the vet this month and has an eye appointment next month so I would for her to have to go again.

Hello fellow bunparents! I’m a new bun mom my little Beatrice is 13 weeks old. I’ve been having trouble litter training her so I got her a new jumbo litter box and success she pooped in it right away! But I noticed her poop was abnormal and something I’ve never seen before. I read every forum and information page but I haven’t found any photos…[Read more]
