Iβm not sure what breed she is, but one month is very young for a rabbit to be away from their mother. Some of the more experienced members might have some advice relating to care of a rabbit that young.
If she is in fact only a month old, it is very likely that she could be either male or female, as it is quite hard to tell so young, and r…[Read more] -
Bam replied to the topic Intro a not-neutered bun to the cat? in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 10 months ago
There is a risk he could get infatuated with the cat. I had an unneutered rabbit who developped a crush on my dog, after they’d been living in the same household for a whole year. It stopped after I had the bun neutered, but it was rather problematic while it was going on. He would pee-and poopmark on the sofa, and he pursued the dog relentlessly.…[Read more]

Hi can someone please tell me what kind of breed bunny I have. She is still quite young, the petstore said she’s about one month old. She’s light brown and gray on her sides and tummy. Thank you

This has saved my life. My bun Hades peed on my bed 2-3 times. I bought this and keep it shiny-side up, and he hasn’t even tried to pee since I got it! Not once! But even if he does, it’s waterproof (I tested it) so…[Read more]

I second the shower curtain, and also highly recommend this waterproof camping blanket that I bought! I have it as the top layer on my bed now with the shiny-side up, and my bun has shown zero interest in peeing on my bed since I put it there. (But even if he did, it’s…[Read more]

Agree with the others, she’ll most likely be totally fine, just keep an eye on her. π

If sheonly ate the one kernel, I think she’ll be fine. Some rabbit muesli have maize kernels, and while mueslis are not healthy, they arent like instantaneously lethal.
Rabbits chew stuff they eat very well because they cant swallow stuff whole (theres a very narrow passage controlled by strong muscles where the esophagus and the stomach meet),…[Read more]

Iβm not sure if an accidental kernel or two would have any ill effects, someone else might have a better idea of that. If she keeps eating and pooping normally for the next 12/24 hours I would say sheβs fine. Keep an eye on her and just make sure sheβs eating, drinking and pooping normally, if not Iβd take her to the vet.

I went to take a shower, and when I got out I discovered my rabbit had escaped the xpen I had kept her in. Some unpopped popcorn kernels had spilled on the floor before I got in the shower. I wasn’t sure if I’d gotten them all picked up because I didn’t have my glasses and couldn’t see the floor well enough. Now I am really scared I missed some,…[Read more]

Agree with Dana, be prepared to seperate them when they’re three months old.

Welcome! They are adorable! They look soooo soft π
If you are new to bunny ownership, there are lots of helpful resources under the “bunny info” tab at the top of the page π
Also, I’m obligated to mention that young rabbits are often mis-sexed! So if there’s any uncertainty about their sexes, plan to separate at 12 weeks to make sure you don’t…[Read more]
