    Ok hi!  Thank you!

I called the vet and while they are willing to see him, they really don’t see rabbits.  They are willing and can probably do an xray but can’t do labs.  oof.  I live in Humboldt county which is very rural and 5 hours away from the bay area, just to emphasize that there aren’t other easy options.

I did have pain meds and I gav…[Read more]

    We will be here!

Make sure your bun is kept warm – a poorly bun can get hypothermic, which is very dangerous.

Simethicone is good, reglan is, as you are saying, best held off on until you’ve seen a vet. Proper care for a GI stasis bun is fluid therapy with sub q fluids, often with an added vitamin B-complex. If the bun has a low temp, the fluids…[Read more]

The vet gets in at 7, I’ll go as soon as they can see me. It’s 4:45 now.

my bunny frank jr. turned 9 December 1.

he was acting totally normally  last night. He gets a tiny piece of banana that he runs for morning and night. He came for his banana. In the past, refusal of his banana has been and early sign that he was sick.

    He gets puzzle boxe…[Read more]

Hi Xxventanaxx! Great to see you again! I can barely belive that little Lux is 5 years, it seems like just yesterday she was a little baby 💗

A weepy eye can have many reasons. Something can have irritated the eye, often a strand of hay. A tear duct can have become clogged.

You can first of all try rinsing the eye with saline eyewash for humans,…[Read more]

Hi there guys! So glad the site is back up. Decided to look if it was randomly and bam! Anyways my 5 year old Lux all of a sudden on her right eye the hair is a little sticky wet. Nothing too big or colored but it kind of worries me. We check her teeth and they look great but just wondering if this is something we should take her to the vet for.

Hi so I’m currently in renovations in my house. The whole house is crazy dusty and I believe it is messing with all of our pet’s health. My bunny just had the snuffles before renos and was fine, but his sneezes came back and his poops are still small during the day. The vets near me are hard to book for, and I am currently assuming that all of…[Read more]

The vet should be able to see a scar if she’s been spayed already. Can they shave her belly and check? That would be the simplest thing to try first. 🙂

I have a weird issue that I could use some advice on.

So I have one bunny at home, she is a rescue that I found running around outside in my neighborhood, likely a dumped pet as I did not find any lost pet posters or get any info of lost rabbits from rescue shelters. I had planned initially to get her spayed but I am uncomfortable with the idea…[Read more]

Hmmm, have there been any changes in your household? Maybe new pets or people that could have triggered things? It could be that since they were together since birth they might be resorting out their hierarchy as they get older. It’s good it isn’t escalating though!

They might benefit from some bonding sessions in neutral territory or some stress…[Read more]

Hmm this is scary!  I use a pellet dispenser ball (picture below) but it also has little holes for the pellets to come out 🙁  I’m glad Skippy was okay!

    Hello,

I have two rabbits, Poe and Atlas, who have been together since birth. They are male, neutered, and a little over a year old. They are best friends, always side by side, cuddling, grooming each other, etc. They will occasionally “mount” each other, but it is not usually an issue — typically just for dominance and then they’re done. H…[Read more]

Why won’t your parents let you spay them? Are they aware of the cancer rates in unspayed females? They won’t form a bond unless they’re spayed, you can’t keep two unspayed females together, they will fight.

    Gosh they’re both too cute!

So adorable how Dawwrian (see what I did there?) snuggles up behind you. 🙂

And Cooper, the floppiest little boy! He’s really conked out in the last picture. 😀
