I agree with Dana. Definitely something to look into.

When my foster bun went into GI stasis, he was flopping a lot on his side and looked like he was in discomfort. He also refused treats.
Please update us – I hope Zatanna is okay <3

Oh no we have to be mortal enemies now 😉 I’m from Missoula but I’ll make an exception because I love bunnies and bunny people. Show us pictures once you get the enclosure set up!

It doesn’t look like inflammation or a growth. It just looks like the end of the toe there. Unless I’m not seeing something.

Just to piggy-back on what Wick said, there are some resources here, under the “suprise litter” section, that might be helpful to you:
Regarding mom, stick to her normal diet. Whatever greens she normally gets should be fine (romaine and dandelion sound great). I know lavender should be…[Read more]

Hmmm, if he’s having some spine pain, he might be having trouble eating his cecotropes. So it might not be the metacam causing the poops, but maybe his pain preventing them from eating them? If he isn’t showing any signs of discomfort I don’t think it’s a huge issue.
Has the vet considered E cuniculi? Just wondering since you mentioned the…[Read more]

She could definitely be a mix! Her fur color is gorgeous regardless 😀 I am not good at breed identification outside whether your rabbit looks like mine…. I can confirm you have neither a netherland dwarf nor an American Sable, haha.
Silky fur is always so lovely, and paired with that color would make it hard for me not to want to snuggle her…[Read more]

As a note before responding, discussion of intentional rabbit breeding is prohibited on these forums; however, we understand the pursuit for advice, especially if it is a surprise (i.e. non-intentional).
Unfortunately, due to this policy, the majority of BinkyBunny users are not experienced with taking care of a new mother and litter. I would…[Read more]

Hi Everyone! We just had a kinda Suprise litter from my beautiful little lady Snowflake. 7 beautiful healthy kits! We are now on day 11 Since their births. Snowflake has been such an amazing mom and feeds them regularly (she feeds them mostly when I come in the room for some reason, I snuggle her, she licks me like crazy then she hops right over…[Read more]

Hi all!
First time posting. What breed do you guys thinks she is? When I adopted her, I was told she was a satin rabbit but her vet thinks she’s a thrianta. I looked at the pics of thrianta rabbits and the ears aren’t the same, and she’s much bigger (8-9lbs). I think she looks more like a Rex and she has super silky fur. Any ideas?

I hope your rabbit is okay. I have a rabbit with reoccurring episodes of GI stasis that started around the same age as yours. Turns out she has dental disease. I really hope that’s not the case with yours. My rabbit is 5 now and still dealing with and managing the dental disease and just getting her through the GI Stasis when she has a flare u…[Read more]

Hi everyone
I used to hang out here when I first got my bunny and it was so incredibly helpful so now I’m hoping you might be able to help once again!
My bun is 8 and a half now and he’s been going really well. The last few months he has been getting a bit sick occasionally. He had an eye infection, then he had this kind of seizure, then he was…[Read more]

Hmmm, did they do an x-ray of her teeth? Tooth root issues can cause sneezing, and refusal to eat hay is one of the tell-tale signs of dental issues. If they didn’t do an deep molar exam (requiring anesthesia) or an x-ray of her head, that would be my next move.
That’s very stressful that you aren’t confident in your vet. Are there any others in…[Read more]
