Bam replied to the topic Urgent: Bunny may have eaten gel stick ons. in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 7 months ago
From what I can find, gel stick ons are only minimally toxic. The major risk for children that happen to ingest them is choking.
Rabbits as a rule chew whatever they put in their mouth very thoroughly. They dont swallow stuff whole like cats and dogs can do.
This means your bun will most likelt be fine, if the amount she’s eaten isn’t…[Read more]

I decorated my hamsters cage about a week ago for valentines day, I put gel stick ons on the front to make it cuter. I noticed today that all of the gel stick ons are gone… so I checked the floor.. not there either. My bunny free roams in the same room so she may have eaten them.. Im currently monitoring her bathroom use and eating habits. Im so…[Read more]

Cute bunnies and I love the cuddles! <3 Ruby learned how to get under a towel and play hide and seek this morning. I couldn’t post the video but got a couple of still pics from it.

Is it possible for you to get pesticide-free fresh grass for her?
My bun Bam refused hay but would willingly eat fresh grass. I cut grass for him several days a week, and it kept both his tummy and teeth in order. It’s not quite as good as grass, but very nearly. Supply can be a problem though.

I think I should provide a bit of a backstory for my rabbit so someone can give proper advice.
About a week or so ago, my father brought home a 1 year old Florida White Rabbit that he got from someone he knows. Apparently, they didn’t want her anymore and decided to give her away along with her pellets, cage, and pine bedding. I barely knew about…[Read more]

I love the stuff for rabbits. It works great and Jumping Jack likes it (despite her being an incredibly slow eater. She needs to eat whatever throughout the day)

Yeah, I was considering Oxbow Essentials or Mazuri. I actually have been dealing with the garden select and trying to make my parents let me buy some new food (I am only 12 and 10.5ish months). I have tried getting my chinchilla not like it so my parents will see that he won’t eat it and get something healthier. They won’t change it again unless…[Read more]

So after I went to the store and gave him the simethicone he was grumpy for about 20 minutes or half an hour then he came out of his hidey corner and why to his box and ate hay.
So I think that did the trick! I KNOW to have baby simethicone on hand but I didn’t. My bad. Don’t be me people, have your stuff ready.

I agree that fostering another bunny will help soothe her soul little by little. And, whenever she is ready, maybe adopt another one. As much as it hurts losing our beloved pets, as long as we have the health and energy to take care of them, we should keep on adopting them. What are we going to do with all this love that they leave us wi…[Read more]

I am so sorry about your loss, ForeverAutumnFrost 😥 . My bunny, Lola, passed away this past Friday. I had the most terrible weekend ever. I cried, and cried, and held on to her body until I was ready to put her in a plastic tote, inside another plastic tote filled with snow. I live in Southwest Minnesota and the ground is frozen so I have…[Read more]
