It sounds like he is hitting puberty so should be neutered soon. Once he’s neutered his box habits should return. 🙂  He likely sees the area right outside as the edge of his territory, so he’s marking it to make sure everyone knows it’s his turf 😉

Good for you!  I still have three bunnies, as well.  I actually got them because I knew Lola was up there in age and didn’t want Bugs, her boyfriend, to be too lonely when she was physically gone.

As DanaNM said, ignoring is a good sign! To get into more details, ignoring is the absence of one or the other rabbit “freaking out” when the other one moves, gets close, etc.. So ignoring is definitely a good sign, relative to a rabbit who might constantly run or lunge when the other rabbit is maneuvering around.
