Poor Muffin π
I’m a little confused by what I’m looking at, is that white area pus? Or a scab?
Since you’ve been to the vet I would just advise to keep doing what they recommend. He could have gotten poked by something when jumping down that caused a small infection. Or perhaps got a worse bite from Pinky than you realized (but that seems…[Read more]

As a previous cat person (still one at heart) and now a 1st time bun owner, I found the amount of bun proofing to be the hardest part and biggest difference. They may not scratch up your couch, but they may chew your books, eat your plants, and will destroy your charging cables given a chance. That said, my bun Dorian likes to snuggle (not all buns…[Read more]

Update on the bonding:
So things have been pretty much the same the last three days – some times in the day they are both pretty sleepy so nothing much happens, and some times Theo is really active and just keeps going after Alfredo to mount. I’m trying to figure out how to get over this phase – any advice for the excessive chasing from Theo? I…[Read more]

When we got our rabbits they were kept in tiny wire cages in a greenhouse. The greenhouse was in the middle of a poultry pen, and my little brother was taunting a turkey who later chose to attack him. He’s still scared of turkeys 6-8 (I forgot) years later.

<p class=”_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM”>My rabbit is 1 year old + neutered and I have been trying to litter train him with the normal tactics: having him in a small pen, scooping up any accidents and putting it in his litter box, scooping up pee with paper towels and doing the same (he only seems to pee on soft things like blankets, otherwise he only…[Read more]

Before going to the vet yesterday.

After the vet yesterday. They shaved and cleaned it up.
This morning. That is his tail on the bottom right, so you can see where exactly the wound is.Tuesday morning, Muffin started limping. He was carrying his leg up and would put it down when he sits. Heβs having a lot of trouble getting in and out of the l…[Read more]

Thanks a lot for your thoughts! It has taken me forever to find the time to write…
Regarding the head down for some seconds, I followed some advice given when the territorial behaviour flips out… And it probably wasn’t the best advice.. So, unfortunately, I tried it slightly and by no means forcefully, but I didn’t follow through on that and…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Help! My bunny wont stop peeing and pooping in front of the enclosure door! in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 7 months ago
I agree with Dana. Poops along some sort of border between areas are territorial markings. Baby buns aren’t territorial, so this is a pretty clear sign that your bun has hit puberty. You may be able to see (or feel) his testicles now, or pretty soon. When the testicles have dropped, he can be neutered. (Keep in mind that rabbits can “suck in”…[Read more]
