Also, I don’t advise letting a cat outside because they can get injured (or even killed ☹️)
100% agree. It’s also very inconsiderate. I can’t let my dog out to play in the backyard anymore because both of my neighbors leave their clowders of cats to roam free and my yard has turned into one big litterbox. Not to mention…[Read more]

Hay cubes are good too, the individual hay strands are (obviously) not as long as they are in loose hay, but it is still grass hay with the right texture for grinding down teeth. So if she eats more if you give her hay cubes, it’s very good.
It’s difficult for us to feel with our fingers that grass hay is abrasive, but even soft hay like orchard…[Read more]

The turkey part is funny. But ya when I got me new bunny he was living in a small dog cage. The cage was covered with a tarp that was blowing away cause there was a blizzard happening. She bottom of the cage was completely covered in bunny poop and not a piece of hay was in sight. The only thing the bunny was fed was pellets and there wasn’t e…[Read more]

Hi everyone! I had two bunnies together up until a few days ago. They are approaching three months and I wanted to avoid fights or pregnancies. Before I separated them, I did notice that the other bunny was grooming him in the face often. They have a vet appointment for the 26th but I’m concerned for his eye. I’ve contacted the vet for a soo…[Read more]

Hi everyone,
We recently got a new Holland Lop and she doesn’t seem to be adapting too well to our house. I was messaging the breeder and we were misled on her age. She was only 6 weeks when we got her (and is just over seven weeks now). I’m very new to rabbits and I can’t find a lot online specific to our situation.
1.) She seems down/lonely.…[Read more]

Thanks for the suggestion guys! I definitely agree this is related to his hormones. I placed a litter box next to the door since that’s now his preferred corner, lol. It’s a such a weird placement but definitely less messy. I made an appointment to get him neutered next month on the 2. I’m a little nervous as I’ve read so many stories about…[Read more]

I’m sorry to hear this! Many many good vibes for (((((Muffin)))))
When you get to take him home you might want to ask for a higher dose of meloxicam. Pain can make rabbits stop eating. You should get dog meloxicam which has a strenght of 1.5 mg/ml, rabbits metabolize meloxicam very quickly.

He doesn’t pee on the carpet fortunately, I may still look into getting the vinyl flooring though. I am going to be moving in July so hopefully I can find a place with hardwood floors bc that would make my life easier haha he likes to dig and chew at the carpet.
Yes, the bed is the main problem, he likes to jump on my bed a lot and almost every…[Read more]

Thank you DanaNM. I agree he is having trouble moving around. Thank you for the help.
We had to bring him into an emergency vet last night because he refused to eat. We had him there overnight on Gi Stasis treatment. I’m just waiting for a call with an update on how he’s doing. It’s been a nightmare and I’m so stressed and I just want him to get…[Read more]

Ok, thanks! I’ll keep them in there and keep an eye on any signs of it lessening – good thing is, they’ve been together about 5 days straight now and there haven’t been any fights, so at least I can get some sleep now hahaha.

It’s not really a problem, especially since he is so young. The tummy works at different rates during the day. Its quicker in the evenings and mornings when the bun is at its most active.
What you dont want to see is some type of continuous shrinking of the poop size and amount, because that means sth isn’t right – either the bun isn’t eating or…[Read more]

thanks! Do you think the timothy hay cubes, would also be good for teeth? They are a hard texture, and made of timothy hay, but of course they are not actual flattened out regular hay.
