My two rabbits come to me already bonded (when they lived with their old owner, there was a third, but he wasn’t for sale). My rabbits’ relationship is troubled, to say the least. It used to be that sometimes, Peter would chase Benji a little, but now Benji’s been chasing Peter… A few day ago, they got into a fight; chasing, fur flying, ect. I…[Read more]

Hi, this caught my attention because I have a rabbit who is picky and another who doesn’t eat greens at all. I give her extra pellets as a small snack instead, and she is healthy without the greens. The picky bun’s favorite is Kale. He also likes parsley, basil and cilantro if you have not tried those, and some lettuces like butter and red leaf.…[Read more]

He might be lunging out of friendliness. My two boys do this, and it did startle me at first, but they want to be petted. 🙂
Are his ears forward or back? You can make your hand into a small fist, so it looks like a small rabbit head. Place it on the ground off to the side of his head (not right in front of him, as they have a blind spot). If he…[Read more]

Baby corn is not an appropriate thing for a bunny to eat in any amount because it has a large amount of starch. If he’s getting a lot of fruit that might also contribute to him not wanting his salad (like a kid eating ice cream before dinner). I also notice that cabbage, kale, and cauliflower leaves are all in the cabbage family. Cabbage and…[Read more]

Ah I see. In my experience volunteering at a rescue, and also on this forum, most of the falling outs seem to be people who got bunnies as babies, and didn’t realize they would likely start fighting at puberty if not castrated super early. Not sure if that’s what happened at your place, but that’s what I’ve observed! That was also the most common…[Read more]

I’m so sorry about your dad. 🙁
He is so cute! I’m normally not a small dog person either, but lately little dogs have been growing on me.
What about a line of parachute cord as a leash? It is really thin, strong, and light weight. I think if he can handle the weight of a sweater the paracord wouldn’t bother him!
In terms of training, I’ve…[Read more]

Hi Everyone 😊
My Bunny has decided to become more and more fussy – especially when it comes to eating his daily greens!
He used to love spring greens/cauliflower leaves/cabbage/kale.
so I was able to give him a daily variety. He has now decided, he will only eat Kale. Won’t even entertain the idea of anything else.
He does like baby corn, and i…[Read more] -

My rabbit, Peter, has been sneezing (w/ discharge) since I got him in June, 2019. I’m thinking that it’s from allergies, but I’m not positive. He has not been to the vet for this issue. Do you think that giving him benadryl will help?

Wow!! He sure is tiny! Tiny, yet cute! 😉
Okay…….. I know this is going to sound weird, but if you’re looking for a leash……. Have you tried a chicken harness? Bare with me here! I have some chickens, and a friend got me a present once that turned out to be a chicken…[Read more]

Yeah well she does not eat a ton. But when she chews it she eats a little pieces of it.
Everything I give her is not interesting. Even the phone book I gave her in the morning! She played with it like few minutes and done.
I will look for 100% cotton blanket hehe. Thank you!

<p style=”text-align: left;”>We went on a short drive this morning and when I got back my BF was in the shower. Grrr. So we’re on the bedroom with the pen set up very small and I put balnkets so only one side isn’t blocked off so I can watch them. They’ve mostly just went sitting there ignoring each other. I’m totally ok with that right now! I’m…[Read more]

Thank you DanaNM. I am glad to hear the 95% statistic because none of my bonding attempts have worked out and when I worked at the rescue we so often had people bringing us bunnies that had fallen out with their friends. I had started thinking it would be impossible.
At the moment I have plenty of time on my hands (one benefit of lockdown!) and I…[Read more]

If she is actually eating the blanket in large quantities, that’s not ideal. If she’s just chewing it and leaving behind pieces, that’s fine. I have been told that 100% cotton is preferred as a material because it’ll break down in a rabbits stomach unlike synthetic fabrics. What’s pictured is fleece blankets that actually have tons of holes in…[Read more]

Hello there! I just very recently got a new male bunny. He’s roughly 10 months old according to his old owner. He seems pretty settled in, running around and playing with his toys. If I walk near the pen, he runs up to the side and try’s shoving his nose through the bars. However, it seems that when I actually crouch down and slowly let my fin…[Read more]

I do think these need to be shaved, if they are so close to the skin that they cant be cut out with scissors. They don’t look like they’d be possible to comb or brush out. out. It can however sometimes be difficult to find a non-rabbit vet that has the right clippers to shave a bun. I wonder how the fur looks when its dry?
Water and grease (and…[Read more]

I know this is a bunny forum but I need assistance if possible and even though I’m not active at the moment you are the only animal people I know. Lol.
On Jan. 27 I unexpectedly lost my dad. He went to the hospital for a stomach ache and 2 weeks later I was making a decision I never want to make again as long as I live. I’ll just leave it at that…[Read more]

It looks like a scab. Could she have hurt herself, f ex while cleaning her ears with her mouth.
I had a bun who got sores that looked like that in his ears. My vet believed it was a reaction to a vaccine. The sores healed, but it took a surprisingly long time, at least two weeks before the scabs fell off.
This looks dry, which is very good.

Hey Bunny Fam
As I have experienced such beautiful support here I wanted to reach out, cause I don’t know if I can make the impossible possible today and go to the vet… Also, I have planned on getting our second bun on Sunday and am a bit worried with too much going on if I would need to go to the vet on Monday…
So… I just noticed this dry…[Read more]
