He sounds like a lovely rabbit, it is great that you are able to rescue a rabbit that would have been doomed… even though the circumstances around it are so unfortunate. š

Thanks again. One question I had about vinyl. Would it not be too slippery for him? I already have parquet flooring, and whenever I let him out of the pen, he seems to not feel very confident on it. As in, his hind legs would slip back when he tries to hop on it.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Persistent respiratory infection in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 6 months ago
How long were each of the treatments? Also, how long did symptoms stop showing before medication was stopped? There are times medication is stopped prematurely, so symptoms subside but there’s enough infectious bacteria left to multiply and lapse symptoms.

Our bunny seems to have had a respiratory infection for months now. The X-rays show he had bronchitis. In the last months, he was treated with enrofloxacin, then marbofloxacin, then azithromycin combined with a nebulization with Gentamicin. All these antibiotic treatments generally made him better, but he would relapse after each treatment with…[Read more]

I am glad you mentioned that!
He had a check up back in Jan of 2020. His dental worked looked really good except for his two back molars. I took him in because his eye was draining, they did a flush and his nasal was infected. The vet said that this is a more common issue with older rabbits especially smaller breeds factors included the way their…[Read more]

Thanks for the reply Dana!Ā That was very educating watching you get that rabbit.Ā I never thought of leaving the head out of the back so they can still see what is going on.Ā Nice touch!Ā We will be trying that from now on.
As far as frequency.Ā It is not very often especially now since we don’t want to upset her.Ā when she was in shedding seaso…[Read more]

Thank you. I miss him a lot.
I literally find myself just look at him like how do I play with you? Lol. I’m used to getting in the floor and physically wrestling with my dogs and he’s like no no I’m too delicate for that. So far I’ve found he likes really soft squeaky toys and I toss those for him.
I’m still not a small dog person (corgi’s…[Read more]

@HipHopBunny Thank you. I hope to always make him proud.
Mr. Bit is tiny TINY! It’s insane. Tater Tot weighs right under 4lbs and looks HUGE next to Mr. Bit.
I’ve never even heard of a chicken harness. LOL. He has a harness that fits well. I had the person that makes my service dogs vests make a custom y front one. But leashes weigh him down big…[Read more] -

We were able to get most of his feeding in him by putting him on the bathroom counter. We already had him in a carrier while rearranging his space, so I pulled him out of it and got him on the towel and wrapped him up and held his head, covering his eyes. I got my dad to syringe feed him while I held the bunnyās back end against me (he doesnāt hav…[Read more]

Hi guys! my 9 month old mini lop has ear mites. I took him to the vets 6 weeks ago and they confirmed it after seeing scabs and mites in his ear canal. Yesterday, I took him back as he was still itching and his treatment was over. They looked into his ears and said there were still some scabs in his ears, but overall not as much as 6 weeks ago.…[Read more]

Thank you for your replies.
Iāll try the lettuce ideas – Iāve always steered clear of them as thereās so many different opinions on what lettuces they can have and didnāt want to risk it.
He only has fruit as a treat, maybe a couple of times a weeks and only in small quantities. didnāt think it would affect him eating his greens. Iāll tria…[Read more]

Hmm, I havenāt noticed if his ears were back or forward.
I will admit he hasnāt bitten or nipped me yet, but itās probably because I flinch back (it startles me lol).
Also, since I just got him the other day, Iāve yet to handle him. I sit outside his pen and let him come to me, but like Iāve mentioned, every time I bring m…[Read more]
