I am glad you mentioned that!
He had a check up back in Jan of 2020. His dental worked looked really good except for his two back molars. I took him in because his eye was draining, they did a flush and his nasal was infected. The vet said that this is a more common issue with older rabbits especially smaller breeds factors included the way their…[Read more]

Thanks for the reply Dana! That was very educating watching you get that rabbit. I never thought of leaving the head out of the back so they can still see what is going on. Nice touch! We will be trying that from now on.
As far as frequency. It is not very often especially now since we don’t want to upset her. when she was in shedding seaso…[Read more]

Thank you. I miss him a lot.
I literally find myself just look at him like how do I play with you? Lol. I’m used to getting in the floor and physically wrestling with my dogs and he’s like no no I’m too delicate for that. So far I’ve found he likes really soft squeaky toys and I toss those for him.
I’m still not a small dog person (corgi’s…[Read more]

@HipHopBunny Thank you. I hope to always make him proud.
Mr. Bit is tiny TINY! It’s insane. Tater Tot weighs right under 4lbs and looks HUGE next to Mr. Bit.
I’ve never even heard of a chicken harness. LOL. He has a harness that fits well. I had the person that makes my service dogs vests make a custom y front one. But leashes weigh him down big…[Read more] -

We were able to get most of his feeding in him by putting him on the bathroom counter. We already had him in a carrier while rearranging his space, so I pulled him out of it and got him on the towel and wrapped him up and held his head, covering his eyes. I got my dad to syringe feed him while I held the bunny’s back end against me (he doesn’t hav…[Read more]

Hi guys! my 9 month old mini lop has ear mites. I took him to the vets 6 weeks ago and they confirmed it after seeing scabs and mites in his ear canal. Yesterday, I took him back as he was still itching and his treatment was over. They looked into his ears and said there were still some scabs in his ears, but overall not as much as 6 weeks ago.…[Read more]

Thank you for your replies.
I’ll try the lettuce ideas – I’ve always steered clear of them as there’s so many different opinions on what lettuces they can have and didn’t want to risk it.
He only has fruit as a treat, maybe a couple of times a weeks and only in small quantities. didn’t think it would affect him eating his greens. I’ll tria…[Read more]

Thanks for the reply!
Hmm, I haven’t noticed if his ears were back or forward.
I will admit he hasn’t bitten or nipped me yet, but it’s probably because I flinch back (it startles me lol).
Also, since I just got him the other day, I’ve yet to handle him. I sit outside his pen and let him come to me, but like I’ve mentioned, every time I bring m…[Read more]

My two rabbits come to me already bonded (when they lived with their old owner, there was a third, but he wasn’t for sale). My rabbits’ relationship is troubled, to say the least. It used to be that sometimes, Peter would chase Benji a little, but now Benji’s been chasing Peter… A few day ago, they got into a fight; chasing, fur flying, ect. I…[Read more]

Hi, this caught my attention because I have a rabbit who is picky and another who doesn’t eat greens at all. I give her extra pellets as a small snack instead, and she is healthy without the greens. The picky bun’s favorite is Kale. He also likes parsley, basil and cilantro if you have not tried those, and some lettuces like butter and red leaf.…[Read more]

He might be lunging out of friendliness. My two boys do this, and it did startle me at first, but they want to be petted. 🙂
Are his ears forward or back? You can make your hand into a small fist, so it looks like a small rabbit head. Place it on the ground off to the side of his head (not right in front of him, as they have a blind spot). If he…[Read more]

Baby corn is not an appropriate thing for a bunny to eat in any amount because it has a large amount of starch. If he’s getting a lot of fruit that might also contribute to him not wanting his salad (like a kid eating ice cream before dinner). I also notice that cabbage, kale, and cauliflower leaves are all in the cabbage family. Cabbage and…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Should I get a friend for my bunny? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 6 months ago
Ah I see. In my experience volunteering at a rescue, and also on this forum, most of the falling outs seem to be people who got bunnies as babies, and didn’t realize they would likely start fighting at puberty if not castrated super early. Not sure if that’s what happened at your place, but that’s what I’ve observed! That was also the most common…[Read more]

I’m so sorry about your dad. 🙁
He is so cute! I’m normally not a small dog person either, but lately little dogs have been growing on me.
What about a line of parachute cord as a leash? It is really thin, strong, and light weight. I think if he can handle the weight of a sweater the paracord wouldn’t bother him!
In terms of training, I’ve…[Read more]

Hi Everyone 😊
My Bunny has decided to become more and more fussy – especially when it comes to eating his daily greens!
He used to love spring greens/cauliflower leaves/cabbage/kale.
so I was able to give him a daily variety. He has now decided, he will only eat Kale. Won’t even entertain the idea of anything else.
He does like baby corn, and i…[Read more] -

My rabbit, Peter, has been sneezing (w/ discharge) since I got him in June, 2019. I’m thinking that it’s from allergies, but I’m not positive. He has not been to the vet for this issue. Do you think that giving him benadryl will help?
