So very proud of my Clover 😀 They spent 2 hours together this morning with no biting. There was also very little grooming but I’m so happy just with the development of not biting, more grooming is inevitable now! I’m just so happy with them 🙂

We start our cross-country drive with the 4 bunnies, cat, and leopard gecko tomorrow! Trying not to be nervous but I am so nervous.

Thankfully our vet gave us metacam, gabapentin, and fluids, so I think we should be able to deal with any stress-related issues. Also got rescue remedy and feliway… But STILL, so much anxiety!

    I’m planning to try…[Read more]

Head rubs and teeth grinds mean he definitely likes you. 🙂 Each bunny has such a different personality, part of the fun is learning what they like. Especially with a young baby, he’s still developing and learning to be on his own.

As for carpet chewing, I’ve had the best luck with blocking problem areas with heavy ceramic tiles (since they tend…[Read more]

I would block it if it makes it hard to get him out when you need to put him back in the pen. But I wouldn’t worry about forcing him to spend time with you. Best thing is to just sort of ignore him for now and let him get settled. By that I mean spend time hanging out in the same room, but just pretend he isn’t there. So reading a book on the…[Read more]

So, I’ve had my young bunny for a week so far. He’s still very scared of me. He stays in his playpen for most of the day. But when I let him out in the morning, and in the evening, even when he comes out of his pen, he still tries to find a spot where he can hide. A playpen I have for him is easily moveable. I want to encourage him to spend more…[Read more]

I honestly find it really strange that anyone would call a bunny gross. Maybe because they poop a lot? But, they can be litter trained and as long as their area is cleaned up everyday, it’s not bad. Maybe that would change their mind.

I think anyone who would not want to date you just because you have rabbits should be a deal breaker for you! L…[Read more]

Thank you for the sound advice you are right now that spring is coming around they are more likely to survive the cold nights.

I have already contacted a rescue not to report but to see if my city even considers rabbits to be under the protection of  the humane society. If they don’t then all of the worrying it moot and cant to anything really…[Read more]

    Hey there!

So, I’ve always liked the idea of Hoppy Hour. And I’d like to attend it once Jumping Jack gets spayed. But I’m in Montana, place of horrible rabbit care and no Hoppy Hour.

    But maybe I’m wrong.

So, do any of you know where I could find a Hoppy Hour in Montana near the Gallatin Valley?

    Thanks!

Y’know, if you see that place again and there still isn’t water, I think you can report them for animal abuse and have the bunnies taken away and rehomed. Sadly, animal cruelty laws are too loose in the rabbit community, but when you can find that bit to give them a second chance it’s a good opportunity.

Hi ! Thank you for your feedback

    I was thinking I’m a little impatient 😁

But I have heard of so many buns around the same age who are already coming up for cuddles etc

I mean he does come over to me here and there and loves head rubs (grinds his teeth together) but for now he seems busier having fun with binkies and zoomies haha

Actinobacillus is naturally present in rabbits. However, like many bacteria, it is opportunistic. Something must have weakened her immune system and the balance of bacteria in her sinuses got out of wack.

I agree with the others. Sneezing isn’t necessarily a bad thing, especially if it’s productive at first and then diminishes. A longer course is…[Read more]

Call me crazy, but I think it would be a good test of character! If they don’t like bunnies, then I wouldn’t want to be around them anyway! My husband loves our bunnies just as much as I do. I only had 1 when we started dating… I currently have 4 after 11 years of being together… so maybe i’m not the best person to comment on this LOL.

Sounds like you are finally getting some answers!

And agree that a long course might be needed and might be a good precaution (since so many things are becoming resistant these days). My cat had to be one 27 days of an antibiotic for a respiratory infection after a 1o day course didn’t work.

I think a conversation is where to start. Now the rabbits, while in a bad space, it sounds like they are surviving and are not in imminent danger (like they will all die tomorrow due to a purposeful act). Maybe spend a day warming up to the neighbor and just get to know them, and then the next time around, just be curious about their rabbits.…[Read more]

Call me self-conscious, but I am a girl who has multiple bunnies and am afraid that it’ll be hard to date because of this. This started with a friend telling me that he thought bunnies were gross 8-O, which started us down a path that led to him and his friends saying that bunnies could be a deal breaker. I NEVER thought about something like this…[Read more]

Well if you think about it, when the bacteria dies or if the bacteria wants to leave the space because it’s no longer safe for it, how does it exit? Humans cough and sneeze to get that discharge out because it’s a part of the recovery process. I am not a doctor, but a part of me thinks sneezing is not necessarily a sign that it’s not working. Now…[Read more]

I do want to add that she seems to great. In fact, to she’s more playful  and active since starting her antibiotic.  She’s zooms around the house like crazy. I think the day 3 sneezing and discharge because it was so thin and watery ( usually it’s thick and nasty) was her body starting to rid herself of the infection. Day 6 maybe… not so sure wh…[Read more]

After almost 6 months of being on and off different antibiotics, treating house for mold, switching from timothy to orchard grass hay, adding air cleaners, Charlie was still going from no symptoms to sneezing and then snotty discharge. Every time except the first time we went to vet, she was never showing symptoms during the visit. He did try…[Read more]
