    So many good travelling (((((vibes)))))!

I hope you’ll have a great trip! The pets will get to put so many new states and interesting places in their little pet CVs! 😃

Haha thank you! And yes hopefully once we get on the road I will feel calm enough to take photos along the way. We should be passing some amazing scenery! I’ve always envied those people with cats that are good travelers and wear a harness comfortably, but unfortunately I think the ship has sailed on that one with our cat.

It’s hard to tell from the photos, but to me he looks like he has good body and coat condition, and that weight is in the normal range for a dwarf. Can you easily feel his spine and hip bones? A vet visit would be the best way to assess a healthy weight for him and discuss a plan for getting him to gain weight, because if he is underweight there…[Read more]

I agree that’s a bit unusual, I would give the vet a call to see what they think.

I don’t have experience with a recovering female from a spay, but this sounds unusual, in perhaps there’s strain or pain in urination, preventing her from successfully arching her back in order to be clear of the urine stream. Have you contacted the vet to mention this?

    Hi,

Lockie the mini lop was spayed on Monday (she’s had a pretty rough time and been in veterinary day care for 2 days) she came home earlier this evening.
She is so much brighter in herself and is eating although being a diva and expecting to be hand fed.
I have noticed her tail is wet with urine and when she β€œgoes” she tilts and pushes her p…[Read more]

Good point pinkiemarie, the rescue I volunteer with has cancelled Hoppy Hours indefinitely first due to covid and then RHD. πŸ™

Hopefully once the vaccine is widely available in the US they can resume.

I haven’t even heard of that here and to be totally honest, I would skip it due to rhd. I heard that the Wyoming cases have crossed over and there are now cases around Billings πŸ™

So very proud of my Clover πŸ˜€ They spent 2 hours together this morning with no biting. There was also very little grooming but I’m so happy just with the development of not biting, more grooming is inevitable now! I’m just so happy with them πŸ™‚

We start our cross-country drive with the 4 bunnies, cat, and leopard gecko tomorrow! Trying not to be nervous but I am so nervous.

Thankfully our vet gave us metacam, gabapentin, and fluids, so I think we should be able to deal with any stress-related issues. Also got rescue remedy and feliway… But STILL, so much anxiety!

    I’m planning to try…[Read more]

Head rubs and teeth grinds mean he definitely likes you. πŸ™‚ Each bunny has such a different personality, part of the fun is learning what they like. Especially with a young baby, he’s still developing and learning to be on his own.

As for carpet chewing, I’ve had the best luck with blocking problem areas with heavy ceramic tiles (since they tend…[Read more]

I would block it if it makes it hard to get him out when you need to put him back in the pen. But I wouldn’t worry about forcing him to spend time with you. Best thing is to just sort of ignore him for now and let him get settled. By that I mean spend time hanging out in the same room, but just pretend he isn’t there. So reading a book on the…[Read more]

So, I’ve had my young bunny for a week so far. He’s still very scared of me. He stays in his playpen for most of the day. But when I let him out in the morning, and in the evening, even when he comes out of his pen, he still tries to find a spot where he can hide. A playpen I have for him is easily moveable. I want to encourage him to spend more…[Read more]

I honestly find it really strange that anyone would call a bunny gross. Maybe because they poop a lot? But, they can be litter trained and as long as their area is cleaned up everyday, it’s not bad. Maybe that would change their mind.

I think anyone who would not want to date you just because you have rabbits should be a deal breaker for you! L…[Read more]
