So after two weeks from declaring them bonded… Theo and Alfredo suddenly had a fight one night! šĀ We woke up and went to their room one morning and there was fur everywhere. Fortunately no injuries or bite marks on either… but now whenever they are together, Theo chases Alfredo relentlessly and Alfredo runs away real fast, and it seems…[Read more]

Thank you Bam. The Ovol Simethicone seemed to help last night, this morning there were some solid, dryer poops in his pen. Weāre running out of the Ovol so we got this brand. Thank you for the dosing info.
We are trying to get him used to greens and trying to make sure he knows that hay is food. Heās been leaving tiny poops, cecotropes, cec…[Read more]

I have used that brand of gasdrops with my buns. I cant get it here, so I’ve asked people to buy it for me when they travel to the UK 😃 (Sadly noone travels these days, of course).
My buns have all liked the taste and been willing to eat it on a piece of veg. The kind I can get here tastes fine to me, but buns hate it.
Give about 1 ml per hour…[Read more]

Is this brand of Simethicone safe for bunnies? Itās for the new bunny, he weighs around 9-10lbs. Heās been having loud gurgling belly noises lately. He still isnāt a fan of hay yet but he likes some greens. We still feed him critical care 3 times a day. We also give him cat grass and he will eat that too. -

Your bun has a lovely color!
Unless the skin under the fur spots is compromised in some way, color changes are not associated with any sort of health problem. Rabbits don’t have continuous hair growth like we do, and their hairs can be banded in more than one color. The wool is also different in color from the outer hairs, unless its an all white…[Read more]

Thank you. I posted this on another bunny page and one of the the members said that it was the lotion. Iām pretty sure it wasnāt because my bunny did get x-rayed and he wasnāt able to stand on all fours a day before he passed. Both of those things make me feel like I didnāt do it because Iām assuming that that would have been able to see some of t…[Read more]

In the US I’ve seen a steep increase in prices over the last year. 2 years ago we had stasis including an overnight visit for just over $100. This September we had stasis at the same vet for about $300.Ā My friend’s rabbit recently had bad diarrhea and the vet thought he wasn’t going to make it. He pulled through and with all the meds, 2 nights…[Read more]

It won’t do any good this second especially if you can get her to the vet but if she’s having reoccurring tummy problems it would be a good idea to get some critical care to keep on hand for emergencies. I’m not sure what kind of simethicone you have but if it’s not specifically the baby kind, maybe get some of that too.
You’re doing a great…[Read more]

Only in the last 6 weeks we have paid $6,000 CAD for Mila being admitted to the hospital twice. It is a big financial burden but could not sit there and watch her die.
we have another rabbit Harry, he has an ulcer in his eye and dr just told us they will need to remove the eye. We have spent over 1,500 on him on the last 6 months and surgery will…[Read more]

Good job!
Fingers crossed she’ll start eating some more soon!
As you know, we are here, I’ll make sure to check in often!
Would she eat soaked pellets? Not all buns will (mine wont), but some bunsĀ actually seem to like pellet mush.

I have recently noticed that my black tort mini rex’s ears have been changing colour really quickly. I’ve noticed them changing a little bit (usually just slightly darker or lighter, or having the darker ‘points’ come down further) when he’s molted in the past, but these changes are much bigger, and he isn’t even molting right now!
He has four…[Read more] -
